So, I saw that PGI wanted to introduce a different CW battle type akin to skirmish where teams of 48 mechs would slug it out. Sounds good to me.

But what about a mode similar to Conquest. Now then, don't start hating! I would like to see a game type which has capture points but you don't get points for the capture but you aquire some neutral unit for your team. Turrets would be the obvious choice, or control over a gate to a choke point. Maybe even a limited mech repair bay would be ok as a central point to a map.

Other possiblities might be:

An airstrip which may allow for a more forward dropship spot or a free airstrike.

Artillery pieces for a free artillery strike.

A bridge control over an otherwise difficult to cross stretch of water.

Some of these suggestions may not be feasible or might be hard to program or simply don't fit in with the vision of the designers, but it would be nice to feel as thpugh you're fighting over something and making real-time gains when doing so. I'm pretty sure that they could implement the capture of turrets if nothing else.
