What is it? Is it a page for people writing fanfiction or is it officially sanctioned? I noticed some known names but it's still confusing with the short stories.

It's official and subscription based. Mostly short stories but they also have episodic content. Board game scenarios as well.

I see, might have to look at it closer. I was hoping some full length novels would start showing up.

Battle Corps is also a tremendous resource for finding and purchasing out-of-print PDF versions of the old Battletech sourcebooks and manuals. And one can also access and purchase a continuation of the novels and short stories written by many of the original FASA authors but were never published. It's well worth a subscription if you have the extra C-Bills to spend each month.
