Ok after an hour of trying to find out I still can not find an answer, I have a foxcon G31 motherboard and at the moment I have a Nvidea 250gts card in but I want to upgrade my GFX card and being very poor at the moment Iam asking you all for recommendation to which GFX I should get.

Thanks all (Iam not computer savvy)

Could we get your other system specs so that we know what to pair with the rest of your computer?

Also, we need a budget.

Lastly, we need to know what power supply you have, not just wattage but the model. Just open up the case, and it'll say the model on the stick on the side of the power supply.

A Radeon 6850, 7770, or 7850 shouldn't pull any more juice than what you've already got in there (the 250 is a power hog) - in fact, the 7770 will be use way less juice. Any of the above will be a substantial upgrade.

Comparable Nvidia cards work too, of course. Most of their midrange gear uses less power than the 250 also. (Better power saving features.)

I replaced my 250 with a 7750 not to long ago - running the Crysis 2 demo, it looks like MWO will push it to the limit. I'd get a 7770 if I had a do-over, but I'll probably just use low quality settings and no FSAA instead.

Doesn't matter for your purposes.

We figured - there was no such thing as a GTX 250, but it was released with the GTX 260/280, so it's a common mistake.

But honestly, if your budget is only £100, I'd stick with what you have. It's a safe % over the minimum requirements.

Although you might be able to find a deal on one of these:

Penryn Quad Core, huh? Yeah, you're in pretty good shape OP.

I agree with buckaroo; get a 7770 or a 6850 if you're budget-limited. It'll be the best $120-$140 you could spend. If you're willing to extend that to $170 or so, then you could get a 6870. I wouldn't shoot for anything higher end than that.

It's also true that if you're running a GTX250 anyways, you'll probably be fine for power/ventilation. Just the same though, it's also a good habit to provide PSU information when asking for upgrade advice.

Edit: I didn't see the above budget; yeah just get the above-linked 6850 and you'll be good.
