Being as there is music during the Mechlab, Community Warfare lobby, and When a match starts and ends, I'd like to know if there would be music implemented into the gameplay, such as dire situations when there are only a few players left, or during conquest a team is about to win with caps, or when a base is being captured during assault.

Sure, another checkbox to turn off permanently.

They will sell a MP3 module to install on the mech so you can listen to your own library

I like music in games. Can be very immersive. Hope they put radio combat chatter too.

Obviously, because the "dynamic music" in Planetside 2 added so much to the game when your faction just facerolled through a base and gets to hear its theme song playing during the last minute of nearly uncontested capture.

Though I suppose having your selected faction's theme play (what do those even sound like?) when your team is up 10-0 in pug matches or has destroyed 2/3 mini generators in less than 8 minutes into a CW match would help this game, right?

EDIT: Dynamic radio chatter would be great though. Record lines for alpha 1-4, bravo 1-4 and charlie 1-4, and add appropriate icons to your team's scoreboard next to the name (because that's not confusing at all with all the founder, faction and clan tags already!) so you can tell from the radio message that charlie 4 spotted three enemy mechs and that bravo 2 just lost a leg to an unknown enemy (outside of his field of view).

Ill give you a more useful answer.

MPC-HC is an ultralight weight music player that does not create much load on CPU cycles.

Dont look for one in game though.

Yeah, I can see that going down about as well as UI 2.0.
i.e. Never Gonna Give You Up plays in every match for at least the next two years.

Yes, positive reinforcement so that gameplayis even more fun. Though getting swarmed by Cyan Blue Locusts and this song playing will definitely give you some laughs :

Hell no. Let's not waste development cycles putting in something most people would disable immediately.

Some music players are notorious resource whogs.

I'm good without, thanks. There are a lot of audio-cues in game, and I wouldn't want to miss them.

Sure. Have the game play the new remixed Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack. End of story :).
