Ok I cheated and watched the video. It looks great so far. My concerns are mostly heat related.
There is a heat bar but aside from warnings that mech are overheating, it doesnt seem to do much. How about the higher the heat, the fuzzier the HUD making the mech harder to control as in the actual game? Maybe make the controls a bit more sluggish the hotter it gets as well. That mech in the vid was running hot as hell half the time and it never shut down nor did the ammo explode. This would be pretty easy to code in and would make a lot of BT fans happy as heat is such a major part of the game.
In addition, I didnt see any body parts flying. This is in hindsight since I didnt note it happen but if you take off a mechs arm or leg, having it fly off would be cool and be more useful to see what it was still capable of doing.

Watched the leaked video, my suggestions

This is exacly why such early beta videos should not be leaked
this is exacly why there is a NDA.
Because developers do not want people to judge their product untill its ready to be shown to the public,
I suggest we wait untill open Beta, possible even untill after Beta, before we start judging and telling them what we want.
For all we know, the mechanics you suggest might already be in the current beta build?

I was thinking something similar but I went out on a tangent as I watched it. What is the purpose of purposed scout mechs like a Raven? The Jenner has better firepower and seemingly scouted fairly well and then mixed it up in combat fairly well too especially with no real heat considerations to speak of. What is a Raven going to contribute to the field with its lighter weapons and role in scouting?
I ask this out of concern since I prefer lighter faster mechs to the big heavies, but in this game see no use for a Raven at this time from the video. Definately cant wait for a full library of mechs so there isnt a massive cluster of the same mechs over and over.

I imagine that the raven will have a much better electronics package than the Jenner, but again basing opinions off closed beta footage = pointless
