CW is great and it's for me the "real" way to play MWO. Asymetrical winning conditions is good for competition!
I read that next map will be a Canyon network style map. Sounds great! I hope this map will give more strategic options for both defense and attack. My concern is about doors and level design in general. For each map you currently have this pattern :
- A door and walls (or really high cliffs) that cut all line of sight
- A small spot for attackers to see the generatror
- A small spot for defender to see attacker's mechs that can shoot the generator
If the balance between the 2 small spots is not good, you have a one way strategy like "Stack all long range mechs on that hill and you can defend both gates!" and then you have QQ and/or /quit.
I will not make the list of every little details. I just want to say this to MWO map creators :
"Please give us something else for up-coming maps. Maps with no gates and doors but turrets and tanks-trap to slow the attack. Give us maps with 2 Omega but only one to destroy for the win. Make me play on a flat city map for brawl party."
I am an old Counter strike player. CS Bomb maps are great exemples of lot of good choices available for def and att. It's fun alone AND it's team competitive !
(Allow CW maps in private matchs and all MWO community league will be happy)
