It's hardly a trinity, it's more like TDR-9S, TDR-9S, TDR-9S, FS9-A.

Runners up include the TDR-5SS, KGC, and Wubverine. Locust gets an honorable mention because it's necessary whendropping with a KGC in CW

Why 6 SPL when you can 8?

Anyway, IS does not have Trinity, at least in pugs.

Mediums: Sparky (it's the closest IS equivalent to the Doomcrow), Wubverine
Heavy: Tbolt 9S, 5SS
Assault: Wubshee, Crab

So essentially, anything that can boat the wubs and/or has godly hitboxes.

spar... what? whats that, didn't PGI deleted them? I don't know when I have seen a sparky last time ingame.

I use mine to extremely good effect. The Sparky does the Stormcrow laservomit pretty well.

I run x2 LL, x4 ML, xl325 engine and x3 JJ. With the hitboxes of a griffin (and especially those giant arm shields) I am as tanky as a stormcrow despite the IS XL engine, I have shorter burn times, and more heat effeciency, plus JJ's. Only thing I don't have is the range.

4 UAC/5 + 2 ML on a Crab is ridiculous vs any other mech 1 on 1. I've lost 1 shoot out with in the last 30 matches to a Whale. I'd honestly would take it over 2 ac/20 + 1 ppc build any day of the week.

Honestly, there are enough IS mechs and good pilots for every kind that there are no single 3 to call it on.

And as far as the clan ones go, the unholy 3 are about the only ones that work right. Most of the others got seriously borked by bad nerfs.

Yeah, the Stalker 4N is pretty impressive. The quirks aren't as over the top as the 9S but large lasers are a better weapon to start with.

No worries, Medium Lurmers are not suppose to tank anyway.

The Shadowhawk is a good mech and I see people piloting it.

Since it was top tier medium it didn't get very many quirks, so hard for the munchkins to squeeze the cheese out of it. Still, it has high-mounted ballistics, but ammo can be a concern in CW. One has high mounted energy instead, but still the quirks are pants compared to the Thundercrutch.

I sold off my Shadowhawks when I found out I could only use Clan mechs in CW after life-time joining my preferred faction. My only Inner Sphere mechs are reward mechs now with a pair of variants I bought so I could master them in regular drops.

Sure wish we could pick up some clan mechs in challenges or rewards.

Full disclosure, I pre-ordered the Enforcer pack because it is my favorite IS mech, for regular drops only though.
