There are so many times im stuck on something with no sounds at all. Maybe my engine should humm ? or gears make some sounds?

I run full speed into a wall and nothing. (bang sound?)

Another mech runs into me and all i see is my screen move and armor flash. (metal on metal sound)

Seams like we're missing a lot of sound effects.

It's a working progress. Also if mechs were running into each other all the time while hiding from the enemy, they would hear clanks and be very suspicious... haha

I've always though the sounds in MWO, while not bad, could use a lot of love. Everything sounds very...'clean' I guess. I want more detail and crunch to sounds. More realistic I guess!

Yeah, some ingame events could need supporting sound effects... that said, the existing ones (in general consensus I think) are pretty awesome and the best we have in any BT/MW-game.

Anyone ever play Bad Company 2 on the War Tapes setting?

We need that! I want my cannon barrage to shake the ground and raise the dead!

Yes. More sounds from the environment (my mech can see in the dark and look through smoke, are you telling me it's stone deaf?), more audible sounds from mechs crashing into the environment, or other mechs. No sounds from artillery shells flying through the air, no sounds from jets flying at low altitude.

And Betty doesnt even tell us about the local time and ambient temperature, like in MW2 :(

This is one area that you think the community could help out with... no?

A huge catalog of great sounds could be compiled and passed onto PGI who could then just patch them into the game without needing to spend the time/$ on creating them.

That's not to say i think PGI's sounds aren't good... the sounds they do have are pretty great imo. I just want more. The ambiance of each drop should be nearly overwhelming.

I would like more audio cues hinting recharge... but the laser recharge sound experiment from like 2 years ago in open beta was bad.

It simply just needs to be worked at.

New stomping sounds that are deeper as mechs get heavier and general louder weaponry would be nice

also actual noise when my 95 ton mech gets hit would be just swell

Someone find a farmer in Kansas and get them to record the ambient sound from the cab of a combine for 10 hours straight.... :D

What's with all the asking for more sound/sound effects/music lately?

Is this -really- that big a deal?

I guess I must be one of the few that has sounds turn down to minimum levels. Pandora is all the noise I need, lol.

AT1:BT had those noises, they were a little too loud but it did give a indication of what was happening.

A Cowbell Warhorn is an interesting thought.

The only sound that comes to mind for me is gauss charge sound. I don't use them because I can't hear the thing charge with all the other sounds of battle going on. I know, personal problems. I had never thought about it but I like the idea of extra sounds for things like hitting a wall and such. Couldn't possibly take that much time and resources to add a couple crunchy mech vs. wall sounds.

There needs to be a large BANG! Grinding noise when mechs hit each other and brush off each other.
