Almost 100% of "M" variants are lore-properly associated with the Marik House.
This is because Marik BattleMechs maintain exceptionally high levels of technology throughout the succession wars (largely due to minimal participation and political red tape/bickering among themselves and inaction). That and most of Marik's forces tend to be tanks with the occasional exceptionally advanced (for the Inner Sphere) company of BattleMechs.

(You'll notice every M variant typically features an XL engine, DHS, and other upgrades).

Side note: Marik does sell its Battlemechs to other factions (especially during the Clan Invasion). From what I understand (though I haven't followed Marik in the 3050 era yet; still in the 2800s), Marik doesn't even participate at all in the Clan Invasion for several years.

I did not see a post of what was going to be sold on any other sale or even if there was going to be more sales. I think it is safe to assume there will be, but to say for sure a mech is going to be in a sale that we don't know for sure is even going to exist is crazy at best. There should have been many mechs that "should" have been on this list and a few that should not have been, but it is their sale so it is best if we do not speculate.

Its most likely because the patch is on Tuesday the 20th. On top of that, this patch will release the King Crab. So they are probably trying to get peeps to buy for MC now or wait till the next one. I would bet that the rest of the faction sales do not include the King Crab.

I think they are basing their mech sale choices on player preferences for each faction, not lore.

I am seeing Marik not Davion now when I go to the sales in the client. ie - it shows the Cockpit items for Marik - so assume these are the Marik mechs.

Fix please? - was thinking of getting a couple mechs that are now not on sale.

Smurfy's confirms a new sale is going on instead of the Davion one.

This isn't an anomaly, so someone screwed up here.
