So I decided today to test the minimum turn rate of a few mechs using analog turn. The following is the time it takes each mech to do a full 360 degree rotation at the minimum turn rate.
Daishi: 32.64 seconds
Thunderbolt: 22.02 seconds
Trebuchet: 17.76 seconds
Locust: 09.32 seconds
So the current analog turn model looks like this:
Where, for the sake of more precise turning on lighter mechs, it should look like this:
The latter would make it a bit easier to pilot. Sometimes I only need a slight but precise turn in a fast mech, especially when I'm at the edge of a torso twist in a turning fight. A more gentle minimum turning speed would help.

I don't get it. Are talking about responsiveness to joysticks and the like?

There is no analog input, just steps between 0 and 100. If you press your keyboard's S-key your are at 100% and can only control your movement if you tap fast enough.
"analog" means you start with 1% to 2% and so on, depending on how much you move your [joystick/gamepad/fishingrod-controller].
Beside a deadzone for the first 5% you should only move for 1-6% if you're 1% out of the deadzone. But it seems that you start at 20% so a movement of 6% is faster than it should be. I think that is what the OP means.

The Jyostick has an analog Throttle/Steering Option.
I use that albeit it makes piloting in certain zones of the analog control curve somewhat jittery and messes up your aim.
Though its still a more immersive way to steer your Mech and thus i use a combination of Keyboard+Mouse and Joystick+Mouse steering - Zero to Low Action is Keyboard + Mouse and Medium to High Action is Joystick + Mouse.
PS: Left Hand Joystick
