Just noticed this, as I was briefly considering repurchasing one of the Victors. I have seen lots of Victors in AFFS service in the lore, but I figured I would check to make sure my memory was not failing me...

"...Independence Weaponry retained the ability to build new Victors, and with their capture by the Federated Suns during the Second Succession War, it became the AFFS' primary assault 'Mech and a favorite command model for battalion and regimental commanders. Though the Draconis Combine would eventually retake the company following the War of 3039, most Kurita samurai were too proud to adopt a 'Mech now associated with their enemy..."

Anyway...I need to save my for the Mad Dog, but I felt this was worth pointing out, for the Davion fans out there; you guys might want to tweet Russ about it, as it seems to be the best way of getting the devs' attention.

Well technicly, the Victor was named in Honor of Victor Steiner-Davion.

He used one during the initial invasion before receiving a Dire Wolf/Daishi he called "Prometheus". At first it was Kay Allard-Liao who was suppose to have it. But he declined it and offered it to Victor. (Kay prefered to stay with Yen-Lo-Wang)

Not trying to nitpick, but the Victor was around several hundred years before Victor's parents were born. :)

The AFFS did not stop loving the Victor just because Liao took Styk and St. Ives back; they simply had someone else start cranking out Victors for them...namely, General Motors.

Wait for the Steiner sale.

If it happens again, then you can feel free to complain.

Not complaining, as I was borderline about purchasing one...just saying it seemed really weird to have the Victor missing from a Davion sale. :)

Not on sale, because other than St. Ives the only source of Victor's is Independence Weapons which was recaptured along with Quinten by the the Draconis Combine in the War of 3039.

None. That's post Jihad. GM is an industrial giant at this point in the timeline.

St. Ives was not lost to Liao until the 3060's, and at that point, GM was churning out new Victors elsewhere for the AFFS. The Davions have always had a supply of Victors, one way or another.

I decided to just save my C-bills anyway, but I found it odd. *shrug*

No plant in Steiner space, either.

Well the Fed Suns never lacked, but that was because they literally imported the entire output of HildCo's Victor production line up until the fall of St. Ives.
