Well, at least they removed the survival requirement, which should at least slightly reduce the displays of cowardice.

but without it, it does not feel like a real challange anymore, I mean 30 wins with 1 kill and 1 assist is quite easy.

but hey I got a 1X, 4X and 2X. the 3D will therefore help completing the CTF collection.

I had a 4x for a while but never mastered them. It will give me something to do at least.

Tournaments do seem to bring out the worst but it will be good for the new players to earn a mech. I just hope they hang in there because if past tourneys are any indication they stand little chance of reaching that goal.

Don't lock your targets ;)

/strokes chin thoughtfully. Hadn't thought of that.

But still, in a game where I already get so many new players on my team, having half the team boating LRMs is a further guarantee of a crushing loss.

hell, look at this thread. the thing hasn't even started, yet here everyone is, preemptively complaining about the things that hasn't happened yet.

Because when you have played the game hundreds or thousands of hours, you probably have some idea of what's going to happen. Call it an educated guess.

I call it confirmation bias.

But removing survival requirement just means I'm free to suicide, disconnect and join a new match when I have a kill and the score is 4-0 for my team. Even with me dead, there's a 90% chance my team will still win, so why stick around? And if my team is losing 0-4? Well, statistically the chances of winning that match are very small indeed, so you definitely want to suicide quickly in that case, and start playing the next match. At any rate, there's very little incentive to stay till the end of the match when I don't have to be alive to get the point.

But....but....but....
Why would People do that when they have a whole weekend to fulfil the requirements? :o :o :o

A whole weekend? And when am I supposed to sail in my yacht with my multiple girlfriends, meet local politicians for some networking and go to modern art exhibitions with my interesting and handsome friends? I've got lots of important stuff to do.

Lots of important stuff to do.

Don't laugh, I was prepping to do a January sail up here but the weather is not cooperating. Of course its not a yacht at 38' and the women's will be Eskimo bundled up and bitching about the cold huddled in the cabin. You can keep the politicians and modern art for yourself. :)

Dammit! So close to finding out if your drill sergeant was correct about eskimo women's private parts, and it all falls apart! :(

All I see is people cna get 3 days of premium easily, and some dedicated gamers can get a chapion mech for free.

Nothing wrong here, a challange that encourages to spend a lot time ingame.

I think its a good sign that the CTF mechs are in the crosshair for adjustments.

Premium time to get people interested, free mech and bay to make it worth it.

Pretty nice IMO, nothing like getting payed to do some Data collection :)

Hope that it ends up with the CTF's getting some hitbox adjustments, JJ & Quirk love, the CT on that thing is freaking huge and hard to shield.

I just ignore the challenges. They kinda lead to a mass increase in derp, and I see enough of that on a normal day.

Ill just do the usual, If I find I have a good team, Ill get my kill and leg/de-weapon the rest as I see. If I have a team where I see loads of Lurms sitting in the back, then Ill get them their locks.. wait till the torso is open and change Targets so that I can calmly shoot the open section for my kill while they open up my next kill for me...repeat previous steps ad nauseum.

EDIT: Any complaints will be met with "If you want to get kills from locks, then move up and get them yourself. Otherwise the locks from the frontline are the kills for the frontline."... maybe Ill make a Keyboard macro for this.
