I've been dusting off my old Atlases... Atlai... and taking them out for a drive.

Holy crap do they suck now.

They really got left behind in the quirkening.

They need SOMETHING. Anything would be better than the crappy quirks they have right now.

Which atlas did you tried?

I decided to do the same last night. (they were gathering dust for a long long time)

Fired up AS7-S for some matches after some months. Did (just) 3 matches with it.
However my experience was a little bit different...

I have never found the Atlas to suck... but then again, being a sub-par pilot, my average battle results are generally not that fantastic to begin with, regardless of 'Mech, sooooooo...
It does have nice weight space and armor, though. And quirks? Best not to rely on those if you want to have fun. (Granted different folks have different opinions on what is fun)
_{For instance, many of my builds do not take advantage of quirks (although my RVN-3L has had Medium Lasers on it since day one, so at least there is that one!) because I like my builds as they are, and changing the weapons to use the quirks would just not be fun for me.}

Average 2-4 kills a match in my Atlases.... I have never found them lacking... A high mounted weapon point would be nice... but front load any one of the variants and move directly at the enemy full speed and you kill them first 9 out of 10 times.

I do ok. I run more of a mixed build ddc and use the kingcrab or direwhale in front of me as a shield

Dont expect to be a Tank, there are no Tanks in this game, only overwhelming Firepower...
