It kind of makes sense since that's all we can do...

No youre just asking a really ******* dumb question. So get off your high horse.
They want people to be playing their game all weekend and making CBills so they buy mechbays.
You get a free CTF with a mechbay and say you dont have any more free mechbays, so you buy 2 more and then buy 2 more CTFs with cBills to master CTFs. Then you find out you like CTFs and want to get a custom paintjob. More money.
This isnt about us its about PGI making money, and most people should understand that and not have a problem with that.
Most people were responding thinking I was saying something about the challenge being hard or unfair, which is completely not comprehending what I was saying.
This makes a bit more sense now, since you're saying that mech bay sales outweigh possible lost 'mech sales. This is what I was asking, thank you.

This honestly by far makes me question if PGI has their head on their shoulder. So we need A win, A kill, and A kill assist in a single game and not just a total. I've seen soo many issues because of this dumb challenge and just can tell it will just get worse as the weekend goes. Such issues as someone getting a kill and doing a little damage to others and the disconnecting, "Yoloing" it and throwing away their mech to get a single kill, teammates running in front of you more often than normal to "steal" that kill from you. I honestly thought PGI would put more thought into their challenges before just throwing them out there. All this chllenge is doing is promoting bad gameplay.
Add to this...
light mechs are even harder to use for this challenge...I had 5 of my team chase 1 light (of course we lost)
forget also about missile boats. I used one for 2 matches and what happened? People just wait to steal the kill.

maybe for new players, but lights are the perfect kill stealers, so getting one kill is not unlikely. just go for the weak cored guys that retreat and $$$
estimated "grind time" is 9 hours for me

and its half cheated with timbergodmode.

Again, no, no it is not. A challenge would be to get 12 kills in a single match. This is a grind.
And holy shitballs, NOT THE POINT. I'm asking why they keep doing this since it seems counterproductive for a F2P game. Are you all really this bad at reading comprehension?
They are not bad at it - they just do not agree.
- PGI is not investing any taxable inventory while still rewarding players
- Players are being used as lab rats, but are being compensated with premium time to help with the grind to 30pts (or make up for their inability to get there - many reasons not just bad play)
- Premium time is well worth the real world cost and many folks may see this after using their 3 days (again with cash output from PGI)
- The more players playing at any given time helps with matchmaking and gathering metrics so that any potential buff or nerf may not be so "off base" - NOTE I am not saying they will be perfect, but just not as potentially BAD
- PGI also recognizes that one persons opinion is just that, and if they do not think it is a fair deal then it is up to that person to choose if they want to invest in the challenge then they do not have to. My opinion is that is that I would have made this marker any ways, but now I receive something for it. Great deal

It's called good P.R.
You can't be greedy and heartless all the time. Some times, good relations = more money spent. Give a little, get a little (plus more).
