Also, here's a post about loadouts from another thread, after learning that they'll get at least 6 hardpoints:

It actually works out fairly well in Smurfys, having enough room for 2 ERLL + 4 MGs + 1 ton of ammo + 2 JJs + XL180, with 10 dubs and 192 armor.
Improvised Urbie Experiment
Did I just accidentally uncover the Urbanmech "meta" (oxymoron?) loadout?
Speaking of which, I hope that its engine cap is at least 180, because being outran by Clan lights would suck. :\

the original (well, original MKII version. Mk I was a stock R60) of Deputy Dawg approves!!!!
regardless of who wins, everyone rejoice, and buy Urbie packs! Russ is giving us a chance to put our money where our mouth is, so let's not waste it like we did the chance to rework ECM!!!!
I'm just so excited to see out lovable trachcan finally making an appearance.
One of the best TT campaigns I ever got to play was based on Hsien after Operation Guerrero. It started with the Liao/Marik invasion, and then ran multiple years during the worst of the Chaos March years.
My unit of Federal Police /Militia had to protect the capital city of Zhi-Chiang, and maintain order, especially after Baron Montong ignited the civil war. During this era was when the Hsien Militia found re-opened the old military scrapyard/mothball and found a treasure trove of trashed mechs that had been forgotten about in the Lostech Revolution of the 40s. Mostly STG-1Rs, UM-R60s ad some VLK-QAs.
It was enough to keep the company or Urbies functioning, against the superior, but spread out forces of the Baron, and as time allowed, hybrid Urbies were put together using drive trains from the Valkyries.
During this, the Militia still needed to maintain law and order, and to protect the people of Hsien from predation by neighboring systems, bandits and other opportunists. Then the Jihad happened.
Part of the fun was the players having to balance the politics of civil war with their duty to the populace, and so at different times were pitted against all 3 factions of the fight. But the unit gained a rather Robin Hood like stature with the general populace. Eventually they claimed the Capital City as their protectorate, and so has to deal with out of mech adventures, terror cells, saboteurs, etc. All in all, a rather fun, tense campaign.
Post Jihad it is rumored that the majority survived and evacuated offworld, and are the ancestors of the small merc unit Xian di Zhanshi, (西安的战士), named after the Chinese folklore Queen of the Hsien. Even the Republic of the Sphere has little hard intel on them, though they are considered criminals, for ignoring Stone's mandates to reduce Mech assets, and their attacks on several worlds, though in all cases, the planetary Governors or Legates were exposed as being involved in Human Trafficking or other heinous crimes.
