What I think might help is to remove the 20 minute wait on free drops, but make it so you have to drop the same tile 5 times before it will flip. If you get another team to fight it should still flip on one successful attack/defense.
This would slow down the free turret drops flipping the planets without penalizing everyone else with long wait times.

these faction groups will allow us davions to group up in CW regardless of unit, allowing more men to be deployed where they are needed.

I think they should make it that CW pulls players automatically from solo queing pugs just to fill those spots up. That way people would play it if they arent practicing or playing with buddies. That way it shortens the lobby times in CW while giving some players imprompt to chances to play it without waiting at all

Hopefully what we have now is just the first part of what will become more involved and immersive gameplay later

CW population was only high the first week because there was a CW centric challenge.
