Because I did not want to go too far off someone else's topic, continuing what was said there.

Off-topic, but the lack of moderation in this forum I feel stems from the toxic culture of this community, and the internet at large if we're being honest. Mods can't be everywhere at once, so problem posts have to be reported to moderation, and I don't think people bother with it because they don't see moderation as effective, which causes a feedback loop of suck.

I think the only way to clean this place up is to crack down hard on nonsense. Not by deleting dumb posts or topics, but by highlighting them and making an example of them by public crucifixion. That's how the PA forums do it, which the mods themselves have cited years back as an example they want to follow. I suppose this would be difficult for them since these are paying customers they are moderating.

The true test of the moderation would be to report your post for being off-topic.

I do not blame the Internet because while there are bad sites, there are good ones.

I think there is staffing issues at PGI, in additon to seeing less moderation here, I note the names of staffers who respond when I send something the Support email, there used to be 3+, now I only see 1-2 responding to Support. I have seen no one marked as a Forum Mod and someone said PGI seems to focus more on Twitter, maybe Reddit. Combined with the rise of certain people wanting to play Internet Tough Guy here, it appears these Forums are, "Going Wild!" where anyone can do what they want.

As for public crucifixion, it has been against the CoC and I see enough of that in my RL I don't need that stupidity here. Anyone wanting public crucifixions can move to where I live and see the piles of RL negativity and stupidity it causes.
