I thought russ said during the town hall they were considering allowing it to run spider speeds.
It's Happening!

They said they "could" make it go that speed, but I don't think they said they "wanted" it to.
Personally, I think a cap of around 180 is actually quite fair, putting it at Kit Fox speed.

I don't see why it shouldn't be able to run like 150 kph. I mean with an engine that big it likely won't be bringing any ballistics besides machine guns and some smaller lasers. plus it would be funny seeing it go that fast.

Regarding max engine:
As the Urbie is the slowest IS light mech, it should not be allowed to have a larger engine then any other light mech, imho (Panther, i am looking at YOU right now). And not only 25 below the Panther (which has Max at 250), but definitely below 200.
So, i will wait and see if PGi is going to take that into account.
If not, then it's not an Urbie, and i won't spend money.

What's really interesting to me is how they'll do torsos (backs and sides). Because of 360 degree rotation you can in theory present any torso section you want to the enemy, so we can do some cool things if we have decent hitboxes.
I'm pretty excited about Urbs. Even just the $20 package is worth it for the premium+mech bays. The possibility of a 4MPL build is rustling my jimmies as well.
