Broken Srm

After patch, SRM are broken. They don't reg. hit.
You see that they hit, but it looks like black hole...do nothing.
Cheked on artemis, one salvo shoot... i cheked every thing.

Hit reg for SRMs and PPCs have been pretty wonky for a while now.

SRM's HR becomes a bit wonky, if you alpha, chain fired SRM's are much more effective.

I was noticing this too. :(

I also noticed that my ACs were failing to give hit reg in the Training Grounds. I was using twin AC/2s, no chain fire. About every third or fourth salvo, I would fail to get a hit reg, although the target Mech would flinch. No apparent damage was dealt either. :(

Hard to say, mine seemed fine last night. I have a decent ping usually though so maybe it's related to that?

Hit-reg fail always spikes during events. Perhaps this recent challenge had brought enough stress to the server?

More servers please or well at least something to make it work a bit more consistently.

Keep distance 60-120m and it will be OK. Artemis works bad at close ranges.

I know how that ppc hit reg feels. Mix that with shooting at a firestarter in water and its a bad day. Was having a shootout with a firestarter on Crimson Strait. I was in an AWS-9m with a 375 xl, 2 er ppcs and 3 medium lasers. I hit the thing in the torso(s) at least 4 full times with the ppcs and got some staffing damage with the mls, the most I got was one orange torso. That was a result of a head to head charge, that all three mediums hit the torso for pretty much the full duration.

Hit reg and hit boxes need a serious fix.

Haven't played a lot recently, but they seemed to work fine this morning. My Mist Lynx would have been toast for sure if my SRMs weren't working right.

I killed a bunch of people with my Huggin last night, so they're not completely broken. It's probably just the (unfortunately) typical failure to register projectile hits, especially at close range.

I really hate asking people these kinds of questions, because they usually misinterpret it as me being condescending even though I don't mean it to be, but...

Are you sure you weren't outside the SRM max range, and what looked like a hit was actually the missiles exploding just before reaching the target?

Well, they haven't been completely broken for a long time, but they are still quite inconssistent.

After the SRM fix a few months back, starting about last month I've already been noticing it coming back. Couple days ago I unloaded 4xSRM6-Artemis into a Nova's CT and it only turned yellow. Second alpha stripped the CT armor and turned the internals yellow. The hitreg is sporadic.

The Nerfinator is introducing ghost boxes in order to indirectly nerf all PP based weapons so they perform equally to lasers -.-

That was sarcasm (I think) but you never know for certain.

-What is this, removing ghost heat from AC/2s? Nerf all the ammo based weapons!-

Somethins wrong actually. 4 shot srm 18 at hellbringer chest with no stripping an armor.

I play often with SRM, and brawl. But how can i sea that SRM hit like black hole?
Becous i shoot at 50m or min :)

I've notice that ER PPC sucks, this days. Full alfa in torso, and nothing on CW with TDR-9S

AC 2 had this issue for a long time.
