I was talking to my wife while we were lounging by the pool and she mentioned that she's already a little worried about the upcoming access to MWO. She said that I spend a significant amount of time cruising forums, and the game is not even out yet. LOL

I thought I had the perfect counter to her concerns, and said, "Better the MWO forums than ****, right?"

She replies, "No. I might get something out of it if you spent all that time surfing **** instead."

Foiled!

I guess telling her just not to expect to see much of me between August and October didn't help any. Any suggestions on how to put the wife's mind at ease?

My Wife has no idea yet..she will be happy I stop playing WoT (and therefore screaming at the PC in frustration) only to find out I will most likely be screaming "Get some" in MWO for a day or two. She must never find out about the Legendary Founder's pack....never...ever...

Or better yet don't spend time on MWO 24/7 and take care of your wife properly like a responsible husband.

Just tell her, "would she rather you be at home playing the game or out all night with the boys at the strip bar drinking?"

A buddy of mine, would pick a night ,same night every week to take the wife out to dinner and a movie.
Not like Fridays, someplace more upscale. He never missed a date. We would schedule league drops
around it. She still bi***ed some but nowhere near as much. Couldnt hurt :)

Nice in theory. . . but, to me she's way hotter than a stripper so she knows that would be an empty threat.

Schedule it on the regular maintenance day.

I wouldn't worry about it. You are a gamer. This isn't your first game and it won't be your last. It is a lifestyle that was part of who you were when you got married in the first place. She knew that going in.... Well at least that is what I tell my wife.

My wife fired up Quicken this morning, no classes today so she was going to help categorize the expense report, and before I even made it out the door I heard, "What's this hundred and twenty dollars?" **Gulp**

My wife doesn't know about me spending $120, and I'm going to keep it that way. I don't drink much anymore, I quit smoking, and I do things such as MWO to stay outta of trouble. She is happy with 2 outta 3.

It's simple. Buy her a founder's pack.

It's only when you're in bed and you start giving the "jump jets online....all systems nominal" updates before lovemaking and then constantly worry about overheating.
