I just bought a new mech and had been wondering how I was doing in it- and wanted numbers to back that up. "But wait, there are stats on the site!" I remembered. So I went to check them out and found this little oddity:
MAD DOG MDD-PRIME 20 8 12 0.67 11 10 1.10 7,392 14,293 02:15:23

So there are my Mad Dog's stats. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it was; but I wanted to know if the LRM20s were pulling their weight, and since I've never used a cLRM20 on anything but my Mad Dog, it should be easy to figure out what part of the total damage comes from there, yeah?
C-LRM 20 20 26,486 10,200 38.51% 01:48:40 10,350

Well, not so much. As you can see, I have 20 games in the Mad Dog and 20 matches where I've used cLRM20s; but apparently the LRMs have dealt a total of 10200 damage in 20 games, whereas the Mad Dog has dealt a total of 7392 damage between LRMs and lasers in the same time period. This means that, interestingly enough, I am dealing over 500 damage a game with LRMs, despite averaging only about 300 per game in total on the only mech I have ever used them on.

So what's going on with the stats tracking? It's a pretty neat tool, but not much good if it's reporting bogus numbers.
