There current cw has no satisfaction or the pug player.
Wait 10 minutes to get a match and start the drop. Discover misc vs 12.
Wait another 5 for the 12 man to open doors and pop a couple newbs.
Then another 20 minute grind until the cannon is dead.

I agree with the op's sentiment and several of his points, but don't exaggerate, selecting with some intelligence the average pug wait time is in the range of 5min, tops...

The Satisfaction is in teh killing for me. Not the pay after the fact. I judge my enjoyment on how much I aided my team in victory OR defeat. How much I get paid, is in line for a CBT Merc. The game is about the fighting not the buying. That is what I believe. Its why I'm here.

If i wanna make money I come to work.

It's also not as simple as "select attack instead of defense". As a Liao player, there are HUGE chunks of the day in which attack is not an option for me.

For example: in a non peak time, I might have only 4 actual options for a planet to drop on.

1) The Liao attack vs. Davion, which is probably empty, and unless I can get at least 5-6 people to jump in an empty attack queue, there is 0% chance of me getting a match. Even with 5-6 people joining me in might take half an hour to jump-start that queue with attackers and defenders.

2) The Liao defense vs. Davion. This will be just as empty as the attack planet, plus it's defense.

3 and 4) The average of 2 clan border worlds that have an active queue at any given time. Again, in both instances, I'm joining on the defender side of the queue.

So in this scenario, my ONLY chance to get a match in less than half an hour is defense. I'm not spamming the defense side of the queue because I like it, I'm doing it because I have no other option if I want an actual match.

I probably average over 600K CBills per CW match. Thats close to 1.2 Mil an hour. Can't do that in group/solo queue. Learn 2 play is real.

So you're getting in two matches per hour. With premium time, correct?

I'm getting about 200K on a good public match. I'm also getting 6 matches per hour. Oddly enough, that happens to run to 1.2 million. Learn 2 math.

Oh, and I also can play in the pubbie queue at any time, while frequently, CW is ded (other than near ceasefires) unless I want to PUG in Clan defense groups jammed in with the rest of the scraps. Hint: Those matches don't get you 600K per match nor 1.2 million per hour.

PGI did say that the Money game is in Open Que. So if you are here to earn a fortune you need to grind OQ. If you wanna dominate the universe... CW.

Why don't people give me these memos.
I don't solo to make money. I do it to try to kill folks in game.

Yeah, well, if I were playing IS...I wouldn't have an issue. I've got over 30 mechs just collecting dust. Omnis, on the other hand, are expensive....and I'm not about to waste real money on them.

What kinda bothers me is that we have game mode based on contracts that erans U less CBILLs than goofing around in normal game mode.
I mean just thinking about Skirimish mindless game mode where U can get rich is kinda funny to me.

I do belive that big majority of ppl is grinding CBILLs most of the time, incrashe CBILL in CW can only bring more ppl now if that isnt needed than ok.

Rather than mindlessly embracing this, think about it.

What should be more rewarding, or at least equally so.

The mode where you need only one complete, outfitted 'Mech and 15 minutes or the mode you need -four- and twice that amount of time?

Which takes more grind to begin with?

Indeed. Why would the mode that requires the most cash to be expended on it, be the mode where you earn the least cash?

Something I suggested elsewhere: You get paid the contract amount, win or lose. Anything else you earn in the drop is just a bonus. I can't see how that doesn't make sense.

I was genuinely wondering if someone could suggest some way that it didn't make sense. Almost 4 hours with no negative replies? As far as the CW forum goes, I think that means we're on to a winner.
