Just once, I would love to see this played through, and honoured.

To have a match decided on by rite of combat, with the losing team voluntarily ejecting from their mechs.

Well bargained and done, this planet is yours. Seyla.

(That would be friggin awesome, but of course, I don't ever expect to see this in MWO).

I've seen it once. I think it was FRR vs (I think) CGB. The CGB team accepted an FRR challenge to Zellbrigen on Sulphourus. The first attempt was ruined when pugs got involved and shooting the duelists, so we started TK'ing the pugs that shot the duelists and CGB gave us another chance. It also didn't start until halfway into the match. CGB allowed another chance, but they couldn't decide which gate to go through in order to avoid pug interference. When the duel finally took place, the FRR guy won, and the clan team honoured the Zellbrigen by shooting down all their base turrets and leading him toward the Omega. The whole entire time the FRR pugs had no idea what was going on and were calling him a traitor for not participating in the fight and doing some stupid one off duel. Unfortunately, the match time ran out just before he could finish off the Omega by himself.
