It is an embarrassment to all the Clans. This has been springing up throughout the Clan forums. If we are going to use the crutch of RP, it is unheard of and frowned upon. That is what we have a system of Trials for. From a game perspective it makes even less sense. Units and people put time and money into fighting on these planets and units strive to earn their tags on the planet and its history, and you ask to trade these planets like children trading lunch at school.

Ask for Trials of Possession. It not only is the RP thing to do, but it also makes sense to get in game, earn exp, LP, Cbills, and respect.

You realize that from a RP/lore perspective, token trials of possession have been held multiple times for the express purpose of exchanging planets/materiel, quiaff? Case in point: Harvest wars.

Harvest wars were a way to rebolster wolf and falcon troops if I am not mistaken. Token trials are nice, but it does not put LP in my bank, exp on my mechs, and cbills in my pocket. I am all for clan unity and dead set against clans fighting one another, but if we must, we should do it in a way that:

1. Builds respect and trust
2. Fosters skill
3. Allows everyone to play the game

Trading planets just undermines the units that earned the planet and while I understand the idea behind it, we gain nothing by ghost dropping...

Ferris was originally a Clan Wolf planet when CW was launched.

First of all read what was written, did I mention anything specific? Second of all mercs are causing all sorts of havoc behind our lines and people just keep thinking that the permcon and long term mercs are involved. Then things get ugly.

The other issue that is happening throughout clan space, not just in CW's shrinking corridor, is that units are asking for an exchange for planet x to attack faction x. Enough of that, call a trial of possession and get on with it.

I would totally do it.. But then which unit should fight? How do we decide? And not much trust and friendship is going to be fostered when people complain about X unit losing the Trial.. :P

Units have been skirmishing and comp dropping against one another for years now and most have mutual respect for each other. Communication is key. Make it loud and clear. Will this be perfect? No. Will issues arise? Of course. But try communicating and I guarantee that some of these trust issues will magically disappear.

Actually we did have "Trials of Possessions" / Zellbrigen battles vs some Clans, like the former Clan Coyote and CGBI. It was really exciting.. I wish this was the standard way of settling matters.

All I want is "Pomme de Terre"!

Isn't there a planet named "Omelette au Fromage"?
