I'm just curious to see what solution you guys come up to for the light rush, since as Clanners you can't really do one yourselves.
Unless you get the firemoth. >_>

Clan streak boats are the ultimate answer to defending the light rush. They stop it dead in its track. The only trick is recognizing which units are likely to rush and having the streak boats ready.
As far as rushing is concerned a stormcrow rush is extremely deadly. More typically it's not really necessary to make a specific rush deck because everything but the direwolf is fast and packing a ton of firepower.

This is the thing. When we attack, we are not fight DC. DC has decided to just let the pugs from the other facitos defend their planets and focus on FS since they don't have to worry about the frustration of losing due to a mishmosh of pugs.
I will say that having dropped with other clans on their defenses, the CSJ pugs are a step above.
They listen.
They join TS a large % of the time.
They can aim.
Those 3 things make them amazing as solo player allies. Calling them pugs seems like a disservice to be honest.
(It also helps that some of them are unit players who happen to be dropping solo.)

I think you are confusing plebs with pugs. Pugs really are just Pick Up Group players, which could be good or bad. Pleb (Plebeian) is a straight up negative term, usually referring to terrible public players. The IS pugs are plebs, but Jag pugs are good.

I from experience somewhat agree the skill level in clan pugs are often greater than I have noticed in IS Plebs. But in many cases once NS recruits a baby lizard and is able to work on builds and team orientation we have been able to turn them into full Dragons.
So I am uncertain if it is simply basic clan mechs are better than most (not all) basic IS mechs. *shrug* ... not sure but your pugs are often a cut above the other clan pugs that I have run into. Maybe one day internal comms will be on and I can more directly help IS pugs er ... plebs or whatever you want to call them.

I think thats a big factor. You have to screw up really, really bad in the mechlab to make a terribad clan mech, while it is really easy to screw up an IS build for the uninformed. Like, I feel like I have been killing far too many XL Stalkers/Atlai, Assault LRM boats, etc., just really bad builds. The worst I see out of puguars is LRM heavy teams very occasionally.
