Naysayers will always jump and scream and shout about how the lack of buttons and controls, or the uneducated mass of kids playing mechwarrior would ruin the genre, or any other number of excuses.
If a Mechwarrior title was done properly (MechAssault was embarassing in my opinion), then it could mean a major shift in the winds for Piranha, and the future of both the company and the brand.
With some GUI and P2P/Singleplayer/Co-Op programming, coupled with simplified arcade-inspired controls, MWO could very much be an extraordinary console game.

The used graphics engine supports windows and the common consoles; no linux support.
Current console hardware should be able to render the game with few compromizes on performance, hardware is not the problem...
