Since PGI encourages point and click wins with these events. What do you use to really anger the masses?

Mine is the 6 large laser Stalker 4N.

WubShee's always a nice choice.

58 damage; half second.

Again and again and again. Then you have to stop for a few seconds. It also moves at 75.

Point, click, dead, if things go according to plan. Hitreg often has different plans, though.

If I had bothered to log on during this period, I would've used the Mighty Wubhawk.

Either the ECM spider with 3 MPL or the Gauss/PPC crab.

Mostly the spider though cause only doing conquest in the assault queue can have some long waits. Light queue is fast!

You mean for this weeks event? I'm using the Dragon 1N and the Hunchback 4G. They are fast enough to get a kill almost every game.

Just using my normal everyday mechs

When my friends I play we are constantly trying to shaft eachother out of kills.

so you might say every time I play, I'm training for these kind of tourneys

Its the weirdest thing. My best builds which are great in usual matches will just not perform consistently in tourney. My most non meta build an LRM highlander with dual ac5s actually does better when things go south. It may not score as well but its more consistent. I am pretty aggressive with it running tag and getting my own targets but it also allows me more time to relax while fighting looking for positions to attack from. Helps me get back on the stick to go back to my real breadwinners.

I would say give a non meta mech a try. One you like playing. Try a slightly different role in gameplay like harassment over kllls or herding. I will drive around looking to upset the apple cart and that works to destabilize the other team giving yours a chance. Don't always think of getting your score but instead helping your teammates with your sacrifice. At minimum you can at least tick off the other team and that worth it sometimes. It can make bad matches fun.

So clearly you have a severe case of crabs.

Warhawk, 4x LPL rest invested in DHS

Melting people at range and brawling, basically never overheats and enough tonnage to facetank most people and run away from the few you can't (crab/DW)

I don't change my build for challenges, but I did change my 3xAC10 Ilya to a 3xUAC5 Ilya because I got tired of the hit and miss of playing a glass cannon. But then, the UAC5s themselves are pretty hit and miss. Like when a King Crab climbs over a hill and all your UAC5's jam after the first shot. Fun for the whole family.

The best way to steal kills is always high burst fire on a fast mech. So anything with an AC20, SRM6's or a load of pulse lasers, mounted on a mech with 80+ kph is probably the ideal mech for this challenge. They may not get as many kills, do as much damage, but they have a better chance of always getting one kill, I think.

I like to use the challenges to grind new mechs so I finished my firestarters then jumped back in GRF-3M and Sparky to finish it out. These challenges seem to bring out the clouds of LRM's so speed is important.

Since I got my rewards already, I'm trying to curb the LRM boat inflation in the solo queue. I either bring a fully anti-LRM kitted KFX (with ECM, 3xAMS AMS Overload and AMS Range 5) and just deny the LRM boats shots or I bring my FS9-S, abuse them quirks and straight out murder them.

It's hilarious how desperate people get and just bring the biggest and baddest LRM boat they have to get kills.
