The Space Pope wishes he could set certain paint schemes for certain types of maps, so if he say ended up on Canyon, his mech could have a desert themed paint scheme and if he instead ended up on Alpine his mech could have a winter paint scheme.

I intentionally like to play some of my mechs in standard green (esp. my treb-7k with ac20 and 2 med lasers), because as you said...many asume standard green mech = inexperienced player.

I don´t know why people do it, but I definitely get less attention in it. Maybe its the combination of the mech and the colour, for usually I can get in 2 or 3 ac20 shots before they start to recognize me...too late in many cases.

All of my mechs have colors....the colors they came with. Green is a color...right?

Got the PC Gamer skin sooo looong ago, I started putting the red on every mech. Not as primary color, got shot too much Some shade of black or "grey" (pc gamer and phoenix greys don't look grey to me) get picked as well. So somewhat muted.

When the FRR camo/colors are released for the Resistance pack, I think I'll recolor everything in FRR blue, a red (FRR? Hot Rod?), and Phoenix Grey.

My one friend here thought all this time that one shot camo only lasted 1 match

So he's never bought a paintjob.

Also he didn't know there were colours for cBills.

I don't like to tell people not to spend money on the game, but why would I buy colors and camos when mechs get covered in "bullet barnacles" the second they take 1 point of damage? You can barely see people's colors most of the time.

Pure black seems to work over the largest range of maps.


I do buy the 75 - 125MC single use camo patterns for all my mechs, but find that being a solid dark color is the hardest for me to see, so I assume it goes both ways.

Camo patterns look cool, but don't hide you in the least, unless you find the perfect shades, and pattern to match the map.

Heaven forbid they provide us a staging area to try to match camo color with the world were dropping into...

Gunmetal grey had become the primary color with a red or blue as a secondary for my mechs, got tired of the green.
