I'd have to say my signature mech (pun aside) is the Hunchback 4J. Beside that, my Stalker 3F. As a third mech, my Battlemaster 1G(P). Beyond that, I kinda switch between my mechs fairly often. (I also have to admit, my King Crab is a close run at the moment. Loving that mech.)

Amongst my friends, I am well known for piloting my Dragon 1C. First mech I bought, went through buyer's remorse, then later learned to love it.

Mobile Gauss pairs well with my prefered tactic of strafing from a distance.

Mad Dog has my favorite design, and I love it's stock loadouts (except the B, I hate asymmetry). I grew up with Mechwarrior 2 as a kid, and Mad Dog is also what made me love LRMs so gosh darn much. Though, if I could somehow take the mad dog, give it 1 ER PPC per arm, have an LRM 15 or 20 in each torso, and give it Jumpjets it'd be my dream mech. Since ER PPCs are my 2nd favorite weapon system in all the mechwarrior games, and I always try to be in the air whenever I can in any game I play (even non-battletech ones).
You'll see me in Mad Dog for for the next half of the year in game. Then I'll probably go back onto my quest to max out all the pilot skills of all mechs. =p

Though my signature mechs in Mechwarrior 2 when I didn't play Mad Dog were Fire Moth (loved a challenge), and Jenner IIC because of it's fast speed, Jumpjets, and missiles.

If Mad Dog wasn't my signature mech, then I'd probably give that honor to Shadow Cat. While it doesn't have Missiles, I do like mechs that are dedicated towards Sniping, and I love mechs that run fast with jumpjets.

After that I'd have to say Cougar, because that's basically a mini Mad Dog, and it can have jumpjets and it is one of the few mech designs I actually liked a lot in MW4. Sometimes I just like the idea of being a smaller mech, beating up a vastly superior larger mech...... I blame that on my experience as playing an elemental defeating a Dire Wolf in Mechwarrior 2, long battle but it was so fun and tense.

For a Inner Sphere mech though, It's easily the Catapult, and quite often the Frozen City concept art is my background. Whether It's being a Splatcat jumping behind someone to "backstab" them with a massive alpha, or being a mobile LRM boat with jumpjets, I love the heck out of the Catapult. It's my favorite MWO Inner Sphere design, and my favorite re-design. I had a lot of fun with the Catapult A1 in closed beta, and the Catapult C1 is my go-to LRM boat mech (4 medium lasers for self defense is nice). Can't really sneak around with 12 v 12 though like you could in 8v8 though.

If I couldn't choose the Catapult, I'd probably go with the Jenner, because going stupid fast with jumpjets and dealing decent damage against the larger enemies.

If i couldn't even choose the Jenner, I'd go with the Dragon. Because I love it's design so much in MWO, and it's fun being a speedy mech.

Yeah, Kurita all the way when it comes to Inner Sphere for me.

I'm working on other mechs lately, but I've had over 700 matches in my JR7-D, which is by far more than any other mech I have, and despite the giant center torso on all Jenners I still like it because for its speed and size (with jumpjet capability) it has pretty exceptional firepower.

One thing that I like in particular about Jenners is the realization (from some other poster, I forget who) that due to the size of the center torso the side torsos on the Jenner are so small that you can safely strip all but a few points of armor off, and it allows builds like this which would otherwise run pretty hot or not have any jumpjets or some other disadvantage, although there could be more SRM ammo in there.

Honorable mentions are the CN9-D auto shotgun brawler (after quirks) and my gauss/2x ERLL shadowhawk sniper.

I'd say my signature 'Mech is the Locust. It was my first purchased 'Mech, it is the 'Mech I have the most drops in, it's the 'Mech that my friend groups expect me to drop in, and it's the 'Mech I've been recruited for driving. You'll usually find me in the LCT-1E or LCT-1M these days, but I drive them all.

I always drive them in stock green.

Banshee 3E is a T1 IS Assault at this point (Probably T2 if we mixed Clan/IS into one chart), 3M is probably T2.

I did it before the Quirkening.

Timberwolf Prime - 2 ER Large, 3 Mediums, 2 LRM 15s. Good at all ranges, too hot for meta users but for anyone that can actually manage their heat well it works great.

Warhawk Prime - 4 ER PPCs, 1 AMS. Another high heat build most cannot handle well. But i make that blue lightning work for me!

Great thread question, Bishop.

Light - Raven Scout
Medium - Founder's Hunchie
Heavy - Founder's CAT
Assault - Founder's Atlas

But in the future: Marauder

Either LRM boat or 6xCUAC5 Dakka Whale. Used to be 6xSSRM2 A1, but PGI killed it, like how they killed my 6xAC2 Jager. <_<

Shadow Hawk 2K with 3 ER Larges, at least pre-Clans that is.

Nowadays it's the 4 LPL Wubhawk. Maybe a Loki build might be added to my favorites list.

WubWubWub

WubShee is definitely still in first place. Though, I'm also using the NopeVa a fair bit. It can have even more Wub than the WubShee. I plan on bringing Maximum Wub a few times, with 14 SPLs, though even 12 is plenty.

A 14 ERSL build, I do see myself in. Though, I have to settle for 13 ERSLs at the moment. Maximum PEW.

Can't really say I have a signature mech, and I doubt I get noticed enough for people to assume what I'm piloting.

My tastes change day to day, or even match to match. I own 59 mechs at the moment and probably 3/4 of them all get used.

I'd have to go with Blackjacks, they play well, they aren't over-saturated, and I bring them out quite a bit. However I am looking forward to Resistance mechs (I was asking for them since closed beta), so my favorite may shift in the near future.

If I were to pick a mech, that I would like for a signature mech regardless of play-time, it would be my Founders Catapult-C1 "Railbird", lovingly restored to factory-stock, and painted canary yellow (under all that grime).

Shockingly, the Marauder.

I know I know "But Flash Frame, we don't HAVE a marauder in MWO, thanks to Harmony Gold!"

You're quite right sir and or madam, but what we do have, are several mechs that can run the Marauder's Loadout. Most commonly, the 3D cataphract.

[if Warhammers were around in MWO, I'd pilot nothing else.]
