When the servers are down, I always like to load back the client launcher to check the server status, which usually tells me they are undergoing maintenance. So I check the forums for any announcements for maintenance and I always see none (except planned patches).

Is this what you would call "unscheduled maintenance"? or servers just crashed??

afaik there is a system that let them post an ingame message like 5mins to server shutdown. would have been nice

Ok thanks for that link. I know where to look next time. I agree with 627 though. unless you checked the forums, you would not have known there was an upcoming scheduled maintenance. Its not in the MWO launcher or in-game anywhere...

This is usually a basic feature that is provided in most online games. I would say this should be an easy improvement that most players would appreciate
