I have returned.

Been away for about 18 months, or whenever the hell the game launched. I think I quit the day before launch.

Anyways, there were a lot of reasons why I quit playing this game, but one was the lack of CW. I've returned and see it... sort of. It's pretty tucked away...

UI 2.0 is a convoluted mess. Unholy. Nuff said.

Gameplay seems dulled a lil bit, like some of the skill has been taken out of the equation for the benefit of all [ie the meta fun factor]. Word, I guess.

Overall, seems the same around here as it always was. I hear IGP is gone now or something? Whatever.

I'm enjoying Kit Fox a lot. Prolly cuz I'm not sure if I'm even sticking around and surely not interesting in tryharding to crush a bunch of steering wheel underhivers again. So I'm just derping. It's a fun derp mech, running a couple JJs and ECM arm. All things considered, I dunno why I'd play any of my IS mechs anymore. Aesthetically and lorewise, Clan's where it's at.

New maps are pretty cool, I guess. HPG looks like tin foil, that one is kinda meh.

The fact that CW does not hit you in the face the moment you log in is a serious, serious problem. It should be immersing you from the start. As it stands, when I log in it looks like I'm staring at a spreadsheet with a popup ad layered on top. What the fudge.

Also, thanks to the staff for unbanning my forum account finally. Good lookin out. I'll try and be nice this time around.

Some ppl call it Gold forums coz lately after the Gold programm this forum was filled with those gold ppl.

So what was again the reason they banned you- they banned alot ppl just for example when ppl talked bad about mwo on third party sites like facebook.

I wrote in this thread coz i do remember ya name. When i started playing this game right after Cb, i was in a match with you. You rocked the enemies with your 3 x Er ppc phranken pattern Awesome 9m on frozen city. Hehe. looked cool how you cleaned up 5 enemies or so alone. Was impressive due to i didnt know whats going on in this game when i started to play

That's cuz I'm a true lord, sir! 9M a very fun derp mech...

And even if the mods were {Richard Cameron}, I was almost certainly a bigger one. That was like, our unit's gimmick.

If I do stick around, I'd like to just play chill and casual, unless CW is worth tryharding again for. Doesn't look like it is, but apparently it's not done yet... so whatever.

Got excited when I installed yesterday and was looking around the website and learned that the UrbanMech is coming, but not for months. That's like, the creedo around here - new content is never there when you want it.

Not sure. You know pgi promises alot. So who knows how much depth it will have. Some ppl hope for a aeronautic game mode with space ships and so you know.

I just wonder how long it'll truly take for CW to be fully implemented, and if there's gonna be balance problems. Is it really just a silly grind for nolifers and Bartle achievers? It better be something deeper than that, the BT/MW universe deserves it...

So instead of doing everything you can to help your team win you've decided to ruin the matches for the 11 other people on your team. It's a team game, not a selfish screw everyone else game.. You should just quit again, we don't need people doing stuff like this. Keep it up and people will report you until you're banned, especially with a post like this as corroborating evidence.

Saw him in a match the other day. He's so far out of practice that he is almost more helpful as an AFK.

Welcome back mate.

I'd suggest looking through the quirk list for 'Sphere mechs. They were vastly inferior to Clan mechs before the pass, but now there are some very interesting mechs running around. There's a pretty exhaustive list at smurfy's, you just have to scroll down and have your retinas burned by all the green.

Some of the more powerful 'Sphere meta are Thunderbolts (no, really), Firestarters, and a handfull of others. For the Clans, the triumvirate of doom (MadCat, StormCrow and DireWolf) are probably the best mechs in the game, though the gap isn't as wide as it was. MadCat is easily #1 (at least IMHO).

Also, the current state of CW is barebones, and should be vastly improved upon as the beta progresses. Content has been coming down in a deluge since IGP left the picture, and the Devs actually post in the forums now...

I'm not just content with the state of the game, i'm actually happy and excited for the first time in a long time.
