I mean, oh man...
I think this is turning into a rant. Sorry all.
I mean the CW feature is still in Beta, and MWO is pretty free with letting the Community do whatever they want, changes would just have to abide within canon and stuff. I'm talking about the Metas out there for players trying to have fun with the entire experience in MWO. Zergs too. Unit-events vs Pugs. Games can go either way.
But our restraints on CW are still in it's toddler phases. What happens when Rasalhague is completely taken over? What happens when a Capital has been annexed? Call-to-Arms? Are there even enough devoted teams out there to make use of CW? Should we bind it to normal public-drops?
At the moment:
- We need performance fixes,
- players need to figure out how to optimize their own game settings(advertise the user.cfg file freedom)(b/c some players don't even know about these directory-change settings),
- CW balancing,
- CW server population problems
- matchmaking balancing,
- better maps or updated old maps(with lengthend ranges through Clan mechs and IS quirks -> ... WE. NEED LARGER MAPS)(specifically longer corridors to fight in) Because the game is more than 8v8 now as 12v12, with quirked IS/bulkier and faster Clans, Short ranged combat can turn the tides FAST. Alpine, however is still a wildcard map. Because, tactics are what dictate who wins, regardless of Clan/IS ratios in teams, and add
- maybe new modes.
