What should the cap on Medium Mech be increased to?

Adjust the restriction on the number of medium mechs that can be selected from 3 to 4, 5, or 6 medium mechs during group creation before launching into a match.

Seeing the medium Drop Que at 50% medium mechs made me think "that actually makes sense". From a balance prospective I did not feel that an over abundance of medium mechs was a problem during the 50% highs after the storm crow's release. I personally would love to run a full lance of Medium Mechs or even half the Drop Deck.

Honestly, I have been thinking the limit for ANY class should have been 4 for a while now. This would prevent the 4x3 from becoming a rigid rule in 12 man drops.

Possible exception for Assaults but the others should be fine, after all Lights are the best class B)

You can do that! 4x40=160, 4x55=220 both within [140, 240] dropdeck range for CW.

I'm not a super fan of the 3x4 system for non CW queues, but if you open the current L/M/H/A vs /L/M/H/A to allow 3/4/2/3 vs 3/3/3/3 or 3/4/3/2 vs 3/3/3/3 you potentially map a Cicada to a Timberwolf or Direwolf... I'm not convinced. If you mean to allow 3/4/3/2 vs 3/4/3/2 than we have that in place already (except for the group-queue ofc).

Do they even enforce 4x3 anymore? Thought they gave up on it.

It is one of the first things that MM loosens when matches are taking too long.

In the Public queue, the release valves in MM will allow matches to kick off with nearly any possible combination now. I've been in matches lately where there were 0 light mechs. The teams however will be balanced per weight class.

I think the OP is referring to the group queue, where 3/3/3/3 is still enforced. It is a hard lock. You can't launch with more than 3 of any weight class.

Jody is correct I am referring to adjusting the 3/3/3/3 restriction applied during group creation. By allowing groups to form with a larger concentration of medium mechs it becomes posible to build drop decks that uniform and can take advantage of tactics related to running a larger group of identical mechs.

The more I play this game the more I think Pushing the Medium Majority would improve the PUG Drops.
