I've yet to get LL (Computers a bit crap) but I've got MW4: Mercenaries, and I'm waiting for someone else to train up with , anyone got it and fancy a game?

I dunno, have you tried running an XP emulator? That might work, but what are you running at the moment?

Are you using MekTek , I had troubles with my original copy of mercs but Mektek runs fine (On windows 7 at least)

Nothing against Firefly or the Independence, but can I come back later if I leave now? I convinced some RL friends of mine to play MWO, but none of them have seen Firefly unfortunately, so we will likely be playing FWL.

Also, I believe it is MekTek. Trying to run it from Vista. This isn't the first program I've tried to run that Vista shuts out. Additionally, I have no idea what an XP emulator is, so probably not. The last comp I knew my way around ran off an ink ribbon.

An XP emulator is a virtual computer that runs Windows XP on your compouter, so you can run old games and the such.

If enough people in that time-zone join up, then I don;t see why not. From experience though, because it's such an odd TZ, somebody will probably set up an Australian company...might be worth looking about, rather than be the odd one out with no-one to talk to.

God knows where my discs are tbh, might go look.

I found my discs, but during the process of looking for patches and how to get it running under Win7 I came across this;

tbh...I'm bloody amazed MekTek is still going after all this time, that's determination for you lol

So if I'm reading this all right, MekTek have a legal thing so that they can mod and distribute a working version of Mercs thats been modded with all their stuff and includes a patching/update utility.

Kizam LL is a Crysis warhead mod, if you have crysis warhead download it from ModDB

Can't wait for beta. After getting involved near the end of WoT beta and haveing to restart, I was honestly considering just skipping this one and waiting for release. I don't think I will though, I don't have the patience .
