A topic in a similar vane to the Hardened Arty Mech....

I went around to build a light Mad Cat, dubbed the Mk V, to round out the family so to speak:

Spoiler

As you can see, each config as a dedicated role, with the prime being as multi-role as possible, those most versions are heat natural, only the C suffers heat issues.

All versions are protected by 8.5 tons of FL armour, all use a "standard" ES chassis with a "standard" Clan 210 XL engine, these choices were made to keep each unit cost under control, with the prime being the most expensive, yet still under 8 million. This unit is ideally pared with the Mk. 3 due to the similar speed that the two share.

Anyways I am open to what you all think of it.

Edit:

I found a couple of errors in the C version, this is the revised version of it, if there is any interest in fluff for it, I can put something together for it.

Well done. Config 2 looks like it could be really annoying for the enemy, and config 1 has a lot of flexibility.

I've never seen a non-Society Omni with iATMs.

The UAC version might be more useful with jump jets, but I have a terrible habit of putting jump jets on anything less than 55 tons.

Well given the time slot I put it in, I'm thinking Clan Sea Fox (Diamond Shark) could have figured them out after the battle with the society... Though easy enough to Chang them out.

I also thought about JJ's in the dual UAC 2's, but I felt better with 4t of ammo over 3t of ammo and JJ's.

That would help me a lot in the "If a magical fairy teleported you to battletech and gave you any mech you wanted" thread. So I have to agree with you totally.

Metus Regem is right and those saying Clan Sea Fox could not duplicate a known technology after almost a hundred years is wrong. In this one specific claim, Metus Regem is god-like.

Dude... guess **** me if I ever come across you in game. This thing would be a terror for light mechs. The amount of durability and that first Config with the Heavy Lasers...... my pilots gonna sh*t their pants if they see it. Literally like jot it down while playing: On *this* turn Nicolai, Roger, Beowulf, and Dane all sh*tted their pants.

This is a nice mech. Meh wants.

Feel free, to use it. She works really well in a combined group of a Timber wolf, a pair of Mad Cat Mk II, a Mad Cat Mk III-X and a Mad Cat Mk V. The Mk V shares 40% of its components with the Timber Wolf, and close to 60% with with the Mk III, making it a ***** to ID, it will show up as another varient of the Mk III.

May do that. Have to reform my TT league first.

Good luck!
