Grasshoppers and Panthers.....

Yeah there were Enforcers and the Zeus but not what I saw this weekend...

Average Grasshopper per match: 4.0022

Average Panther per Match: 3.34

Average Enforcer per Match: 1.51

Average Zeus per match: 2.77

These were all calculated using a formula of how many seen divided by how many players in all matches played with them.

Once I got my Basics done on the GHR, it turned into a decent mech. I do best with ML builds though.

Nice, but situational.

I'm finding panthers to be a respectable foe in the hands of a decent pilot.

Ya that looks about right when it comes to home good the mechs are. Grasshopper is the best of the 4. Of course i would still take the 5ss .

Panther can snipe so it doesnt matter how bad it is.

And the other two.......

I love my Panther, first one I mastered.

For me it's

1. Enforcer
2. Panther
3. Zeus
4. Grasshopper

That being said I do like all of them (or at least certain variants).

I never played the Grasshopper because I didn't think I would like it. The challenge over the weekend gave me an excuse to level up the last mech in the resistance pack I bought. I had fun with it. I would pick it over a Enforcer any day. I finished leveling it up and now it goes back in the hanger as a museum piece.

Just out of morbid curiosity really but why does the GH

Logically, "Fun" and "Museum Piece" does not seem to compute...

Spawned right next to a GHR with my Jager. Still can't get over just how darn tall that thing is. Let's pray the modeling team will be more competent on Wave III and Resistance II.

I love my Zeus 9S ... I seem to do pretty well with it compared to other Assaults. Having that Shield Arm really helps. I run it with 3 LPL in the Torso and 3 ML in the arm.

I stole a build from some guy that was 3 lpls in torso, 3 mpls in arm, std engine and the rest just meat. It tanks like few other mechs in the game. And a 50pt alpha you can drop 3 times before melting is nothing to sneeze at, either.

Although I had fun with it, the mech doesn't fit my play style. I get bored with energy boats. I will play it from time to time. It just isn't one of my top picks to drop in.

1: Zeus (Specifically the 9s but the other two have good builds)
2: Panther - This little guy is lots of fun even if he isn't "meta"
3: Enforcer - Not a big fan, the 5e hardpoint one is the best
4: Grasshopper - Don't like... Way too big, useless missile hardpoint, lots of energy hardpoints but runs too hot and with few exceptions they are really really low. I keep trying it but it doesn't measure up to a Orion let alone a Thunderbolt or Jaguer.

The Zeus comes alive with experience, and using it as intended, a long range support light assault mech, that is a little tanky if need be. (Paraphrased from Sarna)

Funny enough, read on Sarna about the Hopper... and play it as such it works really well in that roll as well! (using short range energy weapons to smoke lights and mediums). "Besides hunting down lighter machines to clear the way for heavier, less-mobile 'Mechs, the Grasshopper's mobility and endurance meant it often spearheaded assaults to storm fortifications, lead flanking attacks to hit the enemy from the rear, and served as back-up brawler"

So yea, as we all know a hopper is going to be in bad shape face hugging a Timberyiff, but it excels IMHO at... what it's claimed to!
