user.cfg settings are a possible conflict too, settings which used to work may now be causing problems?

Big fps improvment for me. Especially on CW.

CW went from steady ~25fps with dips below 20 to idling 50-60 with seemingly rarer dips below 30fps.

270x and a 6350 @4.2ghz
64bit DX9
Low settings except object detail and textures high, terrain med.

Played a match today to see if what i did last night before i went to bed made a difference.

So i've managed to get things back to normal 60FPS in mechlab and 60FPS in game... unless PGI did something different that i'm not aware of?

1: I've updated my vidcard drivers to the latest

2: enabled open GL triple buffering

3: changed from performance to high quality mode

4: maxed out AA

Ah well... now to try a CW map...

I got fps increase since last patch which is good but for me the bigest increase came from setting the mwo_patcher process in task manager from medium to high.

I just confirmed that my FPS drops are not map and/or mode specific.I'm in the 20-30s on all the maps. Before the patch I had 60+ without real drops. I measure about 30-50% average CPU load and 100% GPU load, just like before the patch.

System:
NVidia GTX 470 w/ 1,25 GB VRAM, Intel Xeon E3-1230v3 @ 3,3GHz, 8 GB RAM, 32-bit client.

This shouldn't have happened.... what have you done to cut framerate in half? having a 3 gig video card on my end, this shouldn't be possible. 30 FPS is harder to play in than a smooth 60 FPS....

No idea what the problem is, but that you have 3gb video RAM means nothing in the context. You could have a geforce 210 from 8 years ago with 2gb ram for all that means.

So I just removed my tiny user.cfg from the MWO folder and my FPS went back up from where they came, and even further. Where I had 55-70 I now have 60-90.

My user.cfg:
gp_option_ShowCockpitGlass = 0
HDRGrainAmount = 0.0

EDIT: And I upgraded my video card driver.
