the little notifications....
if I accept one, will it put me someplace i'm not supposed to be, like on a wolf team or something?
just wondering and too lazy to reasearch...

That's the Call To Arms. It will take you to any planet that the Clans are Defending against the Inner Sphere, or take you to a planet that your Faction is attacking.
Please do a little research though, it will improve your (and those fighting with you) Community Warfare experience.

As noted, you stay on your faction's side. The notifications are faction specific, so you only see things your faction is battling on.
