There will be no restrictions to the loadout your mechs can bring to the battlefield, however there will be 4 seperate weightclasses. Each team has to compete in each weightclass, but you have to chose one of them as your primary in which you fight in your qualification. In these qualification matches matches we will divide the teams into an amateur and a pro que, which will fight in seperate groups, but come back together in the finals. Also, the points you achieve in qualification will have an effect on wether you make the finals or not.
The 4 weighclasses are:
1. - light - between 110 and 150 tons
2. - medium - between 170 and 210 tons
3. - heavy - between 230 and 270 tons
4. - assault - between 290 and 330 tons
In each weightclass you may chose to bring mechs from other classes, as long as you comply with the weight restrictions.
Every team may only use two strikes and two UAVs per match, cool shots are not limited.
The 4 best Teams out of each weightclass will reach the Championships.
Additionally the 4 Teams that do best overall will reach an additional Grand Championship.
Not kills, but destroyed tons will determine win or loss. There will be 1 point given for every ton you destroy, a Jenner would give 35 points and an Atlas 100 points. To encourage teams not to take the heaviest mechs possible the team with the lighter dropdeck will be given additional points in the amount of weight difference, wether they lose or win.
If Teams of different weightclasses meet a factor is added to the bonus points to prevent an autowin.
Example: In the Grand Championship an assault team fights against an medium team. First brings two Stalkers and two Orions, second brings four Shadowhawks. The assault team manages to destroy all 4 enemy mechs, but loses both Stalkers. Through destruction the assault team gains 220 points, while the medium team only gains 170 points. The medium team however is 100 tons lighter and gets additional 100 points for the weight difference and therefore wins with 270 over 220 points.
I want to start the Qualifications at the beginning of march and hold the Championships at the end of march, however that might change, since I´m in the early stages of planning.
The qualification matches will be determined by lottery, the teams will then have time to organize and meet with their opponents until the end of the qualification phase. All qualification matches have to be reported by BOTH teams with screenshots.
If there are complaints about rules violations the qualification match has to be repeated with an independent judge, either me or another BV member, present. If this is not possible both teams get no points for the match.
Every team will have to do 4 qualification matches.
Each team may consist of up to 6 pilots, which may only be in one team each.
To register send an email to solaris7lancechampionships@googlemail.com with the following information.
- Name of the team
- Pilots in the team
- contact person and contact information
- primary weightclass
Since I´m in an early stage of planning the rules stated here might change until the beginning of the qualification rounds.
