I pulled you and Tony into another channel and spent 5 minutes explaining exactly why I was getting blown up, and even said the words "I mean, it's up to you if you stay or not...".
Spin it how you want, but you and I both know that we were laughing about the paranoia and Tony seemed satisfied that I'd brief him after the meeting, which I did and everything seemed amiable until I find the shitposting on this page.
That still doesn't change the fact we were booted without being given a chance to comment. I appreciate your efforts at communicating with us, but wish the rest of the participants in this meeting had been as amenable to our participation.

not on the Davion border. In fact there isn't a Marik/Davion border right now?
See what you did?
If Davion can do it, so can others. Marik will be a tough row to hoe if nobody on 3 borders will give you a match.
The question is, does this 'Star League' player group have the balls and the interest to actively censure like that or will they just let it go?

All you need to do is to send an representative to the Mercenary organization that is currently being developed, participate in their votes, respect the decisions of the Star League council and the decisions of the faction they are under contract with.
Thats all.

7 drops now
So you see when you don't care about planets, "cease fires", or any of that crap you get as many fights as you want, maybe you should just enjoy the game and not get mad/cry at things you have no control over.

I will admit, my gut reaction was to ignore the pings I received, and in hindsight, I probably should have.
Given that this isn't my pet project, I only sought for it to run smoothly and openly, being the doorkeeper I made a judgement call to pull you aside and lay out the realities.
But once again, you have to acknowledge that I gave you the option to stay or go.
I would have defended your decision either way. And as anyone who was at the meeting will tell you. I fiercely defended the rights of ALL merc units to be part of this project.

Yeah but that really wasn't an option. We both knew that. The meeting wouldn't have continued if we had tried to stay. We knew we weren't wanted, and we wont forget that.

Nobody is getting mad or crying. You guys do your thing. However everyone else can certainly censure you if they want.
There are some great folks in MS, no question. I'm sure it's nice to be part of a unit that's so big you can sway events - the problem though is what does being a member of a group like that say about you? Are you someone to be valued or someone that everyone else groans when they see you joined their faction because all you're going to do is screw with whatever everyone else is doing?
If you want some influence over the direction of your gameplay in community warfare you can be a part of a faction and go from there, directing that faction. Or maybe, I don't know...
join something like the Star League?
If you don't want to deal with politics, factions, alliances and all the things that put 'community' in community warfare there's the group queue.
Or does the group queue not let you put a -MS- logo on something?

That's up to you.
But who are you really going to hold responsible for it?
Marik?
The rest of the Inner Sphere?
The ever-present "They"?
Marik and MS have always been honest brokers with each other, and have respected each others objectives, even when we weren't on the same side of the conflict.
I've heard reports from others that that's not always the case. Don't know if that's true or not, but as Uma Thurman said in Pulp Fiction "They" talk a lot, don't "They"?
The "myth" of MS is probably much bigger than the corp itself. Y'all earned that reputation you can own it or you can fight it.
Once again, that's your call.

I would say CGB welcomes us back with open arms when we come back. They don't groan when we put on our bear coats.

Maybe you should ask yourself why it is that you weren´t wanted.
I have no personal issue with you guys, but if you want to be a part of our Star League you have to abide by the rules we have decided, like everyone else. And if you don´t want to be a part of it, then stop complaining.
If you would have insisted on addressing the conference I can´t imagine that we wouldn´t have let you do so.

You mean those guys who polish your mechs when you are away and tell each other stories of that one time they got to watch an MS group kick ass?
You are CGB. We all know that. There isn't a CGB without big merc units there.

I'm sure. I tried addressing you people as rational adults by pointing out the obvious (i.e. no one wants to actually stack queues to drop on turrets for hours) but you would rather drink the Clan haterade in great amounts.
How unseemly.

Difference being that the game changes over time as players and factions get organized and such.
Not telling you how to play - just saying that people can, and will, change and build opinions and big groups of players can and will censure each other over that.
