The CN9-D doesn't have 3 energy hardpoints and jump jets however, only 2 energy, and they are in the CT.

The Enforcer can choose to use a LPL+2xML as it's primary armament, with the LB10x as it's finisher. The CN9-D can't do that.

I should know, because I've tried like mad to make the CN9-D a viable mech with it's quirks. :(

its a super simple build... i dont know why you are struggling to figure it out.

CN9-D

I'm probably alone with my opinion that the Panther's head just looks stupid. To me, it looks like something that would've been the coolest thing ever back in 1980, and time hasn't been gentle to it. One of the ugliest head designs in the game, second only to the ones that are so plain that they aren't even vaguely memorable. Granted, the original TT art for Panther is so ugly that anything is a massive improvement compared to that cataclysmic disaster.

Enforcer was one of the ones I was looking forward to based on the concept arts, but man, that's pretty bad. The head looked good in the concept, but the actual model does it no justice whatsoever.

So far pretty disappointed.

You must be one of the few people around here that don't think the Panther's head amazing... o.O

I am looking forward to this pack the most out of all other mech packages I have bought, but this one has got to be the one.

You get a great light mech sniper/harasser unlike the locus which only is decent due to quirks. Also where the clan lights can have weapons they still lack what an Inner Sphere light has in speed (except Koshi). Only down side of this mech will be no ecm, but the Jenner and Firestarter have no ecm.

Next is the Enforcer a 50 ton medium mech that will hopefully work well in Community Warfare with and looking at those buffs the LBX is going to be spitten!

So again looking forward to these sweet looking mechs.

No point in paying for a CN9-D, if you aren't going to take advantage of the engine cap.

I'd rather run it this way. Take an XL300 and go turbo shotty.

Has there been any reply from Russ or any PGI staff regarding the disappointment and redo requests? If it looked like what Bishop and others suggested, they would get some cash from me immediately.

Love the look of the Panther. The Enforcer is ok.
Not quite exact to the concept art, but thats all the art was, a concept.

I believe that Russ replied to Bishop on Twitter.

I did the first edit quickly, here's a second attempt that I took more time on. Still not perfect or anything but I think it's closer to the concept.

The concept art looks really great, like a big and heavy 'mech schould look.

But the final result looks like a plastic miniature of it. (my opinion)

I don't particularly mind the new model, and will be happy with it as it, but I must admit, your edits really do look pretty sweet.

It's subtle, but it really helps me understand where the folks who don't like the model so much are coming from, even if I don't feel it.

Second this: I'm fine with the original model, but the edits look better. Either way, looks like a fun model and it's not like I'll be able to see the thing while I'm IN it.

Actually, that's pretty ******* ideal as far as the head is concerned.

I still insist that the shoulders are nearly as much a problem area as the head, even more so than the arms or lower legs/feet.

So this is completely random and I doubt a PGI person will be looking this way, but...

I was digging through Megamek on the Canon Quirks (using the BT quirk rules, etc) and came across this.

" <unit>
<chassis>Enforcer</chassis>
<model>ENF-4R</model>
<weaponQuirk>
<weaponQuirkName>fast_reload</weaponQuirkName>
<location>RA</location>
<slot>3</slot>
<weaponName>Autocannon/10</weaponName>
</weaponQuirk>
</unit>
"
What this canon BT quirk means is that the AC/10, by BT's standards, can reload (and thus fire) twice as fast as the standard AC/10.

Just a thought.

Some others of note:

If by any chance PGI. Please look at the model change suggestions here, they are pretty good, close to the concept as it should be.
Couldnt the 3d modeller edit the Enforcer? I bet its the only chance to do it now, before you send the enforcers on your way to those who purchased them. After that you cant change the model, Im a right?

They can. The Catapult model was narrowed to be closer to the concept art during/right after closed beta, IIRC. And they've added dynamic weapon hardpoints to the 'mechs (a few still haven't received this modification). But, "can" and "will" are not the same thing. Which is a shame, because easily half of the in-game models would look a million times better -and even perform better- with nothing more than the same model adjustment the Catapult got. Centurion, Awesome, and Quickdraw are among the most obvious examples.

And thanks to the latest weekend update we know that the Panther is sleightly smaller/thinner than the Firestarter and the Enforcer is the same height but WAY thinner than the Centurion.

Good deal!
