I was the only MS in those. It was some house units fighting, I was just joining in on the chaos.

Hope you had fun. Please check out the House Marik TS. I hate seeing members of units forced to pug because their unit is inactive.

Hehe, hardly inactive. I ended up with some other Marik because I tried to sync drop into a planet they were already cued on and got put in with the house unit instead of MS.

So only battles versus opponent teams consisting of ~80% Stormcrows and Timberwolves? Boooooooring! (and yes, T-bolt spam is just as boring IMO)

With the other option being going for anemic queues, ghost drops and awkwardly arranged battles versus other discontents.

I'm sorry but there's no fun in that for me. Regular PUGging for enjoyment I guess. Or maybe PGI could create some true incentives to help out on the Clan front, who knows? ;)

Lesson learned from Star League Alliance and our little dragon friends: Let's concentrate on our own problems. We are not defenders of innersphere. We are not charity. We are sanguinary warriors so do it anytime and anywhere!

I'm going to have to agree here. Let's stop playing intergalactic police and just focus on our own borders. Intergalactic politics are pointless and even though we have the best intentions all it gets us is damnation from our so-called friends.

I say we just leave Kurita to take back their "stolen" worlds and then leave them alone to face the clans by themselves. They certainly think they're capable of doing so (even though we all know what the end result is going to be). We can worry about the clans when they reach Terra through DC space.

In the meantime let's help FRR survive and secure more worlds from Steiner.

I'm pretty sure Liao would like Marik to continue on the Davion front as well..

We need to let Davion take back the MS planets first

Why? If Mariks goal is to work its way up to where the wormhole is, then that would be counter productive.

Clarification. We are taking all planets surrounding terra. Period. Defend FRR as you can. But the point where the clans will be repelled is going to be from Marik space. Others are either unwilling or unable to accomplish this.

The island is a nice buffer, but we're discussing if giving the planets back to Kurita, just to stroke their ego is in the best interests of the Inner Sphere at this very moment.

Expect a polling this weekend on if Mariks word is more important than the defense of Terra

The moment we go back on what we say we're going to do, is the moment we're no better than Wolves.

Meanwhile I tend to agree with you ;)

It was a Try with best Intentions. It failed. Lets see if we can at least save Rasalhague. If they also don't appreciate our Help then forget about northern IS Factions and prepare for our own Fight.

In this Hour Rasalhague is down to 13 Planets including their Capital.

Considering we are fighting *all* the clans at once and we often lack manpower, I am sure most of us in the Free Rasalhague Republic are thankful for all the foreign assistance we can get.

A functioning (New) Star League would have been insanely useful in the efforts to withstand the invaders...

Stroking the Snake's ego is a terrible idea, friend. This is the House that was sending sneak attacks over our border at the same time that we deployed multiple companies to defend their border with the Clans. Hell, well before the talk of Star League, probably 2 weeks into CW total, I took 12 of my pilots up to the Clan border with the DCMS and single-handedly crushed 6 successive Smoke Jaguar attacks, held the planet down for hours. Suddenly a Davion planet was under heavy attack by Kurita. What do you know, while we were shedding blood defending their world, they launched a sneak attack to steal one of our worlds. We were forced to retreat off world and redeploy to stop them. The planet we were defending fell to CSJ within two hours.

There was a time when I though Liao was the most underhanded, sneaking House, but the conduct of the DCMS lately makes me think I've had that all wrong. Some "samurai" they are.

I have to say, as unexpected as it was and as much as I argued against it starting out, fighting Marik has been some of the best experiences in the game. Whether it's BWC, Seraphim, etc, I've seen nothing but good sportsmanship and honesty back and forth, even as we've fought veritable holy crusades over Wazan. On the Liao and Kurita border (with some exceptions, of course) you see constant Goon Squad-wanna be's trying to outdo each other with the levels of trolling and idiocracy they can descend to. That and people who think they're House of Lords. Word to the wise from someone who ran with House of Lords members a lot before CW started: you're not as good as you think you are.

I trust Marik to play the long game so whatever you guys think is going to work best, do your thing. As I said elsewhere in terms of who I want standing between the Clans and pages upon pages of shitposting if they surround Terra...

Marikachu, I Choose You!
