FYI Clan Wolf or specifically CWI. When your 12 man drops against a group of pugs & you go to omega and kill it on the first drop, its really not fun for us pugs. If your intent is to capture the planet quickly then yaay, you're doing a good job.

Were a mixed group, no real coordination and so with your heavies & assaults we cant kill you quick enough to stop omega falling. But by not letting us pugs fight you at least and then taking omega, we have no incentive to fight you at all. So a number of us IS pugs like myself simply wont bother fighting for worlds you are dropping on, so have fun fighting turrets. Im sure those worlds will mean a lot to you when you've won them from the bot turrets drop after drop....woopdeedoo.

Complain to PGI for the game being set up this way. Also it is a richly ironic statement from an IS player complaining about rushes.

Not coming from a Davion, it isn't.

your crying at the wrong people, dont blame CWI for extremely poor game mechanics. whether yoru a 12 man or not there is nothing fun about this rush game whether your doing it or trying to stop it.

Having been on drops with CWI several times, I can say that when facing pugs the call is typically to fight the enemy and even to hold fire on mechs being dropped onto the field in the line of fire. In fact the only time I remember a rush being the plan from the start was a sibkin training run.

The fact is, that is the quickest way to win, and the FRR is currently supported by several large and powerful merc groups. A Wolf 12 man trading shots with a group of pug defenders may mean giving up the chance to take a planet for the phase.

Being part of the 12-mans you are complaining about, the reason why we rush is because we are outnumbered every time on the attack. We know that we have to push the planet quickly near 100% enough for when the last hour of the session everyone in the IS turns and defends from the few Clan Wolf that are on, which leads to massive ghost drops that quickly wipe %'s very quickly. We are after planets as priority.

Also to be clear about something, I dont think rushing a game down in the first 5 minutes should be possible. Thats just me but current implementation on PGI's part results in this.

Perhaps in the future we will see double the generator HP? idk

Me & others like me, play to destroy mechs. Destroying mechs is fun. CW is a different way to fight and destroy mechs that is all. Winning planets means nothing, they do nothing at this point in time, so personally don't care if Davion holds 1 planet or 10,000, its the same. Steamrolling pugs simply gets you less pugs to play against, and as someone who has played CW since it began, that's something we don't need. But ill go fighting mechs where I can actually get fights, the pug queue. And when you sit and wonder where are all the people to fight, when you're killing turrets to take a planet (that gains you nothing), well......

They mean nothing to you. Maybe reaching Terra first is something that holds value to Clan players. Anyways, start shooting legs and have someone checking other entrances. The Clan heavy blitz is by no means unstoppable.

You mean the attackers ended the game quickly and dominated the defenders, who failed to do anything until the attackers had passed the gates?

That's what's supposed to happen. If you want to actually impede things, try to remember meeting the enemy team before they're jumping the gates- by getting 'Mechs over the gates yourself and engaging the enemy. Turtle defenders are rushed and speed-capped defenders.

I too despise rushing. I'll play along for a bit, but if thats the theme of the night, I'm off to the solo cue.

Well then. I, like yourself, enjoy destroying mechs. But if a clan "rush" which was probably stormcrows, timberwolves and hellbringers (90-106kph) rushed you i guess you need to work on your "destroying mech" abilities

Its not just CWI, but many other clan units that do this too.

I like destroying mechs more than rush, but lets remember, the rush tactic is an IS tactic. They started by using the Lights. Clans do not have a viable light rush, so we use what we have. This is a broken game mechanic more than a broken tactic. Mass rushes have always been part of war. "Charge of the Light Brigade" and "Pickets Charge" are just two.

12 man groups in CW want to conquer planets, so they do not waste time and smash. Thats how CW works, and will stay until a system may prevent rushing.

be happy that CW has broken attack lanes or they would alreay own half of the IS :P

If I was in an IS faction as a pug, and I see a clan unit using a cheap tactic, I'd probably just publicly announce zellbrigen, or a trial of possession. Their refusal would bring them great dishonour! (Sorta)

Lol. We fought you back to your 4 initial worlds and you simply rolled over and played dead like cute little puppies. We will do it again.

Clan Wolf and honour.

Just kidding, but not even giving Pugs a fight is beyond unsportsmanlike.
OP, just look at it like this. They knew they couldn't win against you in a fight, so they went the route of the coward.
