The whole comparison of major vs minor league is ridiculous. There are no people in this game who have been playing almost their entire lives and earn millions of dollars per year playing. This game has been around for only a coupl e of years so the experience level of the players is very close in time and no one makes a living doing this. This more like an adult beer softball league. I personally find this comparison far more accurate considering who I usually end up on comma with. An adult softball leagues people play for fun not to earn a living. Also in adult softball leagues you often have a team or two that are league Champs year in and year out because they take it more seriously then others. It is the same guys on the same teams each year. They practice more have most of the best players and win more then the rest. There are also teams that lose often because they don't practice as much and some of their players are simply not as good. Equipment also effects the outcome to some extent. Wherein dress shoes instead of cleats is not the best choice for footware if you wish to do well. Most adults join these leagues to have fun with other people with similar interest. The few who join to win either practice hard enough to get on the better teams or scream throw tamtrums and bats about how the teams are not fair and eventually quit because they are unable or unwilling to do what it takes to win in what should be a fun team game. Get bettering I shoes and a group together practice hard enough and eventually you will be good enough as a group to challenge the best teams in your league on a regular basis. Whether you play in the solo questions or CW this is still a team game filled with a mixed group of players with different ideas as to what is fun.

I fealty hate auto correct on my phone!

Agreed. An important rule of communication is if your audience misunderstands your analogy, you need a better analogy. Just to be clear: except for an elite few, the vast majority of solo players should avoid CW like a plague.

The reason is that a team made of of mostly soloists vs. a team made up of an elite 8 to 12-man premade plus extras is NOT like minor league vs. major league. At least minor league teams have training, a coach, etc. No, it's more like random people who've never played together before showing up at a sandlot and forced to play against a minor or major league team (depending on how elite the premade is and how many they are). Since there's no Elo matchmaking, some of the soloists on the PUG team might even be playing MWO for the first to tenth time. It's not minor vs. major at all: it's random people who've never played together vs. people who've trained together for months using 'mechs that are not only optimized, but optimized to work together as a team. Most soloists should just stay away.

You have said you haven't even tried CW. Like your shoddy metaphor about sports teams, you have no idea what your talking about. Show some respect to the many solo, group and unit players actually discussing this topic from a place of experience, and go play the game before you decide to hand out advice to "the majority of solo players".

Unlike a lot of soloists who were lured into CW because it was shiny and new, I could tell just from the numbers what the CW experience going to be for most soloists. Two months and hundreds of posts from those same players later, it turns out I was right. I'm more than confident in letting soloists try CW out and decide for themselves if they like it or not, but if someone asks for my opinion, I will give it.

Even players who are Unit members are disappointed, like this guy. Other Unit players like this guy can see what's really going on with some other Units. You don't have to taste crap to know it's crap. The smell should be enough.

^ I like to have a fair fight and the stats reflect that,

CW is a exercise in seal clubbing , MAny fights are lost before they begin.

With 12 mans , no elo

This is unacceptable

^ Yeah were poor sports. Get as many CW games in while the pugs are still there, Wont last.

Claiming that its fair when one team can have coms min/max drop decks built to work perfectly together and A HIGHER AVERAGE ELO..................

Is bs , Just like CW absolute BS

Do people even realize that clan wars is supposed to be end game level content. If not ready for it for whatever reason do not partake, it is not for you. Far as im concerned I feel pgi should follow a wot line of thought...no pugs/solos in clan wars...it is for the competitive minded folks and should be left to them, the solo/puggers just make it less competitive and water it down with pilots who just started playing that day and have no clue what they are doing. Why does everything have to be dumbed down, and made for the lowest common denominator. We should be looking for ways to make it harder if anything, not easier, not to accommodate same day newbies who really have no business taking part in end game competitive content.
