One of the most annoying things in CW is dropping in a new mech, only to have the dropship land in an area where the enemy has taken over / overrun. As soon as the mech hits the ground its dead because you got dropped with 10 enemy mechs surrounding the drop site. This can happen multiple times if the enemy is not cleared...and there is no option to not drop because its an instant death, or choose another drop site.

It makes no sense a lot of the time as there are several drop sites. Why would those landing pads go un-used? Why would you get dropped into the hottest one?

Please make it so that the drop ship doesn't land in an area that is over run,
Or please make it so you can chose your drop point.

Or at least let dead players drop in groups (everybody who died in a certain time frame drops at the same time and place) to give them a chance at fighting back.

because hardcoded location

I think we will get a solution for this, but currently other basic things will b finished before we may get variable droplocations.

Maybe in a few months they'll fix this. I'm not even going to think about trying CW until it's no longer Beta.

Spawn camping is a huge issue on sulphur but the other 2 maps are pretty reasonable. Id like the drop zone to always be the one furthest from the enemy and drop ships to have their weapons beefed up to really punish players who spawn camp.

indeed this is a problem but along with that dropships wepons should not shoot when it's flying around this isn't a dropship fighting game if they can shoot at us after they have dropped mechs and while their leaving we should be able to shoot them down. Dropships should only fire their weapons at the drop zone.
