I love counter attack, finally skirmish with respawns. Exactly what I wanted.

I'm not sure if you're serious or sarcastic.

I blame the internet.

So the other guys snipe better and you decided to play their game. You lost.

Consequence:

A. Learn how to poke better.

B. Next time type in the chat that you go in for brawl and easy killings. Kill overheated T-Bolts in Close Combat.

C. Change nothing and go to the forums to cry about.

Guess what option 90% of noobs will choose. And that's what seperates PUG's from noobs. ;)

It is not a bad technique to let people know about.

Sounds like you lost the match though, due to enemy teamwork over your ad hoc crew. No shame in that.

Now you know they can do it, and you know that even when pugging, pushing the 9S is better than trading with it.

But yes, teamwork remains OP.

@op so you lost a skirmish match, what is the point?

Regarding the people saying so what, well if they kill Omega, then hunker back at their spawn waiting for you to push, you're walking in to a fight with LL dropships, and no cover. Not like the intended MLs drop ships with cover around.

And...this is a problem how?

I'm literally, not seeing the problem here. It's just part of the gamemode.

the problem is, that the entire idea to add omega is pointless when you can snipe it esily without any enemy contact, while they try to stand around and guard omega.
So omega just doesn't have any purpose.

The trick to shooting the MFB is literally shooting the extended top sections of it. It's like the reverse issue with the gens. For example there are limited firing lanes to certain gens than others like Alpha over Beta on Boreal... whereas something like Alpha Gate on Sulfur can be hit for certain angles.

It's one of those things that wasn't entirely thought out.

So, when we're defending against a counterattack, do you know what we're saying when we see them hit Omega?

"How fast is it going down? So, that's what, probably 2, 3 mechs? They're cut off. 6 of you go over there and take 'em out quick, them come back, we'll have a numbers advantage."

"Remember guys, what happens if they get Omega down? NOTHING."

what if those 3 stand up ther ebut the other 6 are covering them? hardly going to work going there wth 6.

the real question still is: whats the purpose of omega? fluff?

That would then mean you had lost contact to fully 3/4 of the enemy team. That along with allowing the enemy team to camp your 2 LZ might be a bigger issue then Omega. To me Omega is there to break the tie and that's about it. But it doesn't stop folks from attacking it when they are 10 mechs down.

Omega exists to trick the stupids into going after it.

It's intended purpose is to provide a mechanic for the attacker to win if there are no defenders.

Exactly...it is basically there as a mechanic so that the match can be ended if you drop unopposed. That's pretty much it. If you play this game mode as if it was true Skirmish, you will be fine.
