Yeah, this was already known from the roadmap I think...or it was an earlier tweet saying it would...can't remember.

Either way, I'm desperately hoping the Quirks get toned down across the board as things like the ERPPC Thunderbolt, Pulse Firestarter (not a lot but needs a small tone down still, and a hitbox pass dear god), AC20 (maybe Gauss just a touch too?) Hunchback (yes a bit, its absolutely ridiculous with the cooldown module right now, lolwut, 92KPH AC20 HBK? Its crazy amazing.) and others are too far ahead, and just the general quirk + Module combination is ridiculous

Meanwhile mechs like the Vindicator, a couple locust chassis (missile chassis...eurgh), Atlas (Needs Durability, the mech that just keeps coming. Let DWolf and KCrab keep the firepower, lol.), kintaro, and quickdraw need to be buffed (might be others but those are the ones I know of).

I would personally like to see a bigger focus on 'generalized' quirks instead of this 50/50 split with general/specific. It promotes using the quirk targeted weapons far too much. Specific weapon quirks should be that 'little extra' to bring out that last bit of power given by quirks for running those specific builds or stock armaments. Like a 70/30, 75/25 or even 80/20 split for general/specific.

I'd like to see less weapon quirks and more other things, like mobility boosts and stuff that matches the theme of the mech.

I'll basically play w/e they throw at me though so bring it on

They said they had more modifiers they could use now, which makes me hopeful we'll see a larger variety across the board and less "THIS ONE WEAPON IS SUPERIOR!!! USE IT!" -cough-TDR-9S-cough-

And what about Clan Quirks?

Unless, we must keep the terribad Clan Mechs that are not part of the holy trinity to keep sucking... Amirite?

Already stated a while back, IS quirks will be done and balanced before Clan quirks are started. The handful of quirks they threw at specific Clan mechs was the exception.

Russ said it was coming soon but it was not specific until today. I've riding him on twitter for weeks

Nice- I also agree with the more general less "one weapon n to rule them all" quirks. Good example would be 'Tanky' quirks for some atlas (I know not everyone wants a tank atlas).

Ps- except for mg quirks... Must have mg quirks... Looking at you arrow and spider... ::develops an eye twitch::

According to Russ in the last town hall, I believe he said the Atlas was gonna get some 'toughness' quirks. So, Armor/Inner Structure, not sure which or if a combination.

100% agreed.

Like WWII fighters (well any fighter for that matter) each had particular nuances identified specifically to that particular plane...

I'd like to see quirks be exactly that... "quirks" and not completely focused on equity.

This, I would love to see the mechs whose firepower can't compare due to limited tonnage and hardpoints be able to compensate with more survivability compared to others in its tonnage. (say, surviving like something 5-10 tons heavier with the firepower of something 5-10 tons lighter like they already do)
