By "dorito" I'm referring to the inverted triangle icon that is drawn above 'Mechs. There are currently 3 colors for it:

Red = Enemy
Blue = Friendly
Cyan = Lancemate

The problem with this, is that when you are grouped with either less than 4 players, or more than 4 players, you may only see some of your grouped members easily (the ones in your lance), and have to rely on the cumbersome target info overlay (pressing Q) to find the rest.

Also, it often happens that someone decides to re-arrange the lances and "breaks" your organized group by splitting in into different lances, so when the match starts, you once again have to rely on the poor target info overlay to find your group-mates.

This has generated more than one dispute (because someone moved one of your group-mates around and you can't see them anymore), and could be easily avoided.

A simple solution would be to add a stroke around the "dorito" icon of all the players in your group, to highlight them. That way you can both see who's in your lance and who's in your team, but also who's in your group. Keep the internal color the same, but just add a visible stroke.

This would make it much easier to stick with your group-mates.

Or just purple or something.

I think different sizes for light, medium, heavy, assault would be good too.
Helps know what is out there alone (assault, better go escort. Light, just doing its thing) and will help stop PUG Nascar chasing the light lance as they speed off to try and get behind the enemy assaults. "dont follow the small triangles!".
