So, it seems like right now, Mercs and Lone Wolves are in the majority, and House Loyalists in the minority. If we wanted to change that up...what might some incentives be? Please, post ideas :)

One of the thoughts I had was re-instituting a lesser version of repair and re-arm, with House Loyalists receiving a giant discount or free repairs, but with Mercs having to pay more.

I'd offset this by giving Mercs a commensurately bigger rewards from game matches.

It seems like that system would set up a high risk/high reward system for Mercs, while also giving Loyalists the cookie of a low risk/medium reward...instead of simply rewarding Mercs for jumping to where the contracts are highest due to low population.

Something like that could work. I would say the loyalists should see basically free repairs, though mercs should see enough cbills that even on a tough loss they only eat 300-500k or so per mech overall. Would certainly make things interesting.

That, and/or couple it with an increased salvage bonus for mercs. The HOUSE takes salvage, not its pilots, but mercs keep what they kill.

Rewards ranks other incentives, that only house loyalists can achieve

That isn't a solution for increasing the number of Loyalist units.

When it gives Loyalists the opportunity to control attack lanes that would be something quite desirable to a lot of units id imagine

i have a topic in GenDiscussion that has a System that would allot Loyalist and Merc Factions to be added,
and added in a way that would not take players away from the Main factions of fighting,
(The Dynamic Implement Of Merc Groups And Loyalist Factions In CW)
