Had my last 5 games follow this pattern:

Games 1,2,3 - First two waves of a full team of lights. They JJ over the gate, zergrush all 3 gens and smash Omega pretty much straight away. One match was done in 7 minutes, the last in 4.5 mins. (it was a pleasure waiting 32 minutes for this)

The next two games, two full waves of assaults, smash through one gate, ignore the gens and Omega, sit on the dropzones and camp the mechs that drop down. Because the drops are irregular, it was often 5-6 mechs vs 1-2 dropping.

Gg pgi, more unparalleled CW success.

Sorry, I thought CW only recently became terrible.

Guess I got lucky until now.

LOL, CW has been kinda horrid for awhile now. Its just zerg, zerg, zerg. If you have gotten lucky until now, I am jealous....every game past about my first 4 became very boring......one side or the other just zerged and won........I was on an attack where we zerged....it was over fairly quick, and it was boring as crap.

The 'light zerg rush' was a tactic in the beginning of CW, and FAR more effective back then too. Just take a mech that can respond to multiple situations the first wave.

As for the 'spawn camp' issue...the drops literally come down ON or right next to the objective... Easiest way to fix this in my opinion would be to slightly extend the playable area of the map and create a dropship area behind and slightly separated from the objective on the original 2 CW maps, then revert the changes to the defender's dropship and make sure they just shoot the enemies if they come into that drop area and not the objective.

I really don't know how to fix this.
Zerg rush is by far the most effective tactic and since PGI increased the rewards for CW, it's getting more and more common.

Go bring a streak Stormcrow.

Have fun, since lights can't do anything at all about it. Hard counters are great.

I don't have an issue with zerging...per se...in fact, against less skilled teams, I help thwart it fairly regularly, but it can be a no-contest situation against the players/teams who are really good at it. Been seeing a lot more teams leading with the big guns lately, though...
